Social media users have started sharing an image of the two handcuffed with Mumbai Crime Branch officials.

On April 14, bullets are said to have been fired outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s home in the Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra neighborhood by residents of West Champaran, Bihar, Vicky Gupta, and Sagar Pal.

In a coordinated operation, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch and the West Kutch Police from Bhuj, Gujarat, made the arrests late on Monday. Top sources claim that there was a prearranged plot behind the firing. The two miscreants had allegedly rented a home for a month in the Panvel neighborhood of Navi Mumbai, which is about 12 km from Salman Khan’s land.

Following the dismissal, Salman Khan was called by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who also had a meeting with the Mumbai Police Commissioner.

Ramlalla Will Be Adorned With A Surya Tilak At The Same Time Every Ram Navmi – Here’s How It Will Work

“About a year after starting work on the ‘Surya Tilak’ at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, sunrays will grace the Ram Lalla idol on 17 April, on the occasion of Ram Navami,”, S K Panigrahi, the project’s chief scientist at CBRI Roorkee, tells Swarajya.

At around 12 pm on Wednesday, 17 April, the rays of the Sun will fall on the forehead of the 51-inches tall murti that represents the five-year-old form of Shri Ram.

The sunlight will adorn Ramlalla’s forehead with a circular ’tilak’, measuring 75mm. This phenomenon will last for three to four minutes and will symbolise a Surya tilak of the Suryavanshi.

On every Ram Navmi hence, the garbhagriha will be illuminated thus by the sun. This draws inspiration from the thirteenth-century Sun temple at Konark in Odisha.

The team setting up the Surya tilak started the special project in April 2023, with studies and calculations conducted by experts from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee, and Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bengaluru.

The chief scientist says, “There had been many challenges, including the temple’s location in a dense settlement, weight and thickness of the stone structure, fluctuating sun positions each year, with the shifting dates for Ram Navmi.”

“However, the latest challenge was adapting the mechanism’s design to match the temple’s construction progress.”

The original design assumed three floors of the temple. However, the design was modified to work at the two floors that are currently in place.

“Now, sunlight will enter the garbhagriha through openings on the second floor, which will revert to the previous design once the third floor and shikhara of the temple are completed.”, he added.

At noon, when the sun reaches its zenith above the temple, its rays will penetrate the garbhagriha and will be redirected through high quality lenses within the sanctum, ultimately resting upon the forehead of Ramlalla.

In previous interactions with Swarajya, Panigrahi explained, “The tilt mechanism will redirect sunlight through the designed apparatus of pipes and lenses. Only brass was employed in crafting our system of pipes and the rays will be diverted through an arrangement of four lenses, starting from the third floor of the temple, to reach the garbhagriha.”

“The concept has been designed incorporating the shifts for the next 19 yearly cycles, and the same positions will recur every 19 years.”

The high-quality lenses have been crafted by Optica in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Astrophysics Bangalore.

“It has been a unique experience for me and the team to bring this divine idea to reality for the Ram Mandir. A trial was conducted on 8 April, and now the Surya Tilak will grace the face of Ramlalla on Ram Navami,” he shared.

Additionally, the architects behind the temple design asserted that this concept seamlessly merges astronomy, science, design, and construction technology.

Architect Ashish Sompura, stated, “the significance lies in Surya Dev performing the Surya Abhishek of Ramlalla at his birth, highlighting the divine connection with the sun.”

Ram Navmi, celebrated on the ninth day of the first month of the Hindu calendar, typically falls in March-April, marking the birth of Shri Rama.

A control room has been established for this purpose, and officers and staff from several departments have been assigned crucial roles. The control room will operate around the clock.

The control room has set up procedures to guarantee perfect collaboration across several departments. For a 24-hour shift, officers and staff will be assigned in three shifts.

Teams from the city’s health department, Ayodhya Municipal Corporation, and city power department have also been placed on notice in addition to the police department, in order to facilitate the prompt completion of tasks allocated to all departments.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary had a preparatory meeting on Saturday to discuss the arrangements for Ram Navami. Starting on April 9 and ending on April 17, Ayodhya is hosting the Navami fair.

The nightmare of the passenger The IndiGo jet “landed with 1-2 minutes remaining in its fuel.”

A passenger used social media to talk about his “harrowing experience” aboard an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Chandigarh, which landed with almost little fuel remaining.

On Saturday, April 13, an IndiGo flight from Ayodhya to Delhi came dangerously close to landing with almost little fuel remaining after having to reroute to Chandigarh. Passengers and a veteran pilot have expressed concerns about safety following the event, claiming that IndiGo may have broken Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

According to traveler Satish Kumar, who posted about his “harrowing experience” on social media, flight 6E2702 was supposed to take off from Ayodhya at 3:25 PM and land in Delhi at 4:30 PM.

However the pilot announced fifteen minutes before landing that they would not be able to land in Delhi due to poor weather. He claimed that the plane twice made an unsuccessful attempt to land while it was hovering over the city.

Unfortunately the pilot announced fifteen minutes before landing that they would not be able to land in Delhi due to poor weather. He claimed that the plane twice made an unsuccessful attempt to land while it was hovering over the city.

“By that time, a lot of passengers and one of the crew staff started puking out of panic,” Kumar stated.

It took the jet 115 minutes to land at Chandigarh Airport at 6:10 PM, after it was announced that it would have 45 minutes to hold fuel. The crew personnel informed us that we had landed just in time, with barely one or two minutes of gasoline remaining.

In his social media post, Kumar tagged the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), raising concerns about if SOPs were adhered to and whether this was a narrow escape.

Shakti Lumba, a retired pilot, urged that the DGCA conduct a probe into the incident, calling it a “gross safety violation” by IndiGo.

Lumba posted on X, “A diversion is mandatory after two missed approaches.” “It is a flagrant safety breach to continue holding rather than veering and then presumably landing on fumes. If the report is accurate, the Captain has no business holding such a position of authority.”

Israel-Iran tensions a matter of deep concern, worries all: S Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said India was constantly monitoring the situation in the region and had advised its citizens to exercise caution.

In Short

  • S Jaishankar expresses ‘deep concern’ over Iran-Israel conflict
  • Calls on both countries for immediate de-escalation in tensions
  • India advises citizens to not travel to either Israel or Iran

Following Iran’s onslaught of missiles and drone strikes on Israel on Sunday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar demanded an immediate de-escalation. He described the circumstances as a “matter of deep concern” as well. Jaishankar made these comments in response to Iran damaging an air base by firing hundreds of drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles straight into Israel from Iranian soil.

“It is a matter of deep concern because it represents an escalation in this situation, something which worries all of us,” S. Jaishankar stated in an exclusive interview with India Today.

“Since the attack on Israel on October 7, we have been concerned about the situation there. It is quite concerning that it is now escalating into other dimensions and zones. We are particularly invested in that area,” he continued.

India has cautioned its residents and is continuously monitoring the situation in the region.

“At this time, we have recommended against visiting Iran or Israel. Those who are already there have been warned to exercise extreme caution. At this point, it makes sense to take that action. We’ll keep an eye on the situation and take necessary action, including issuing advisories, if needed, Jaishankar told India Today.

The Iranian drone attack on Israeli territory on Sunday was a significant step forward in the two countries’ ongoing shadow war.

According to US President Joe Biden, Israel was assisted in downing “nearly all the incoming drones and missiles” by the nation. Following the Iranian attack, Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke over the phone before he made his speech.

Among other countries, the US, UK, Germany, Argentina, and France have denounced the Iranian attack on Israel. Additionally, India urged the two nations to “exercise restraint.”
