Rahul Gandhi is dragged into the Mandi controversy by Kangana Ranaut, who says, “Hindu-Shakti.”

Nothing more is expected of the party, whose chief executive Rahul Gandhi has spoken of “destroying Hindu Shakti,” according to Kangana Ranaut.

Rahul Gandhi is dragged into the Mandi controversy by Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut attacked the Congress leadership during the opening of her campaign for the Lok Sabha election in 2024 in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. She brought up the recent issue that Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate caused by her “unwitting” remarks about Kangana. Kangana Ranaut claimed during her inaugural rally that the Congress began engaging in cheap tactics when they were unable to accept her nomination from Mandi.

“After receiving the BJP’s nomination, I was ecstatic. Who wouldn’t rejoice over a reunion like this? Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, speaks of “annihilating the shakti among the Hindus.” Their spokeswoman made horrible remarks regarding Mandi’s women. The location that hosts the largest Shivratri festival each year is the same Mandi, named after Rishi Mandavya, where Rishi Parashar sat in tapasya. So what more is reasonable to anticipate from them?” stated Kangana.

Kangana Ranaut will be running for office from her hometown of Mandi, and this was her first public visit there. It was anticipated that she would address the current controversy, given that Supriya Shrinate received a showcause notice from the Election Commission for her remarks about Kangana, which she later removed and denied being posted by her. Supriya said that her Facebook and Instagram profiles are managed by a large team and that the post was made without her consent.

Inquiring about how the post was created via Supriya Shrinate’s account, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena asked Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora for a thorough inspection report.

Given that the Congress has not yet announced a candidate from the constituency, Mandi is about to witness an intense contest. Virbhadra Singh’s wife, Pratibha Singh, is the current Member of Parliament from Mandi. She had previously stated that she would not run for office in Mandi, but once Kangana Ranaut’s name was revealed, she changed her mind and claimed the high command would make the final choice.

Rahul Gandhi made a Shakti statement on his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which sparked a significant controversy. Hinduism uses a term called Shakti. One Shakti is what we are battling. The query is: What Shaktiki, is that right? The EVM holds the soul of the King. This is accurate. Rahul Gandhi stated, “Every institution in the country, including the ED, CBI, and income tax department, possesses the essence of the king.

After being accused of being anti-Hindu for his comment, Rahul Gandhi said that he meant Narendra Modi as the shakti.

PM Modi vs Congress over judiciary after lawyers flag ‘vested interest group!’

More than 600 lawyers wrote to Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, alleging that a “vested interest group” is trying to put pressure on the judiciary and defame the courts.

In Short

  • PM accuses Congress of wanting ‘committed judiciary’ for selfish interests
  • Congress retorts, accusing PM of ‘orchestrating attack on judiciary’
  • Over 600 lawyers write to CJI, claim group trying to influence judiciary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Congress hours after hundreds of lawyers across the country wrote to Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud, alleging that a “vested interest group” is trying to put pressure on the judiciary and defame the courts.

PM Modi said that it is a “vintage Congress culture” to browbeat and bully others.

“To browbeat and bully others is vintage Congress culture. 5 decades ago itself they had called for a “committed judiciary” – they shamelessly want commitment from others for their selfish interests but desist from any commitment towards the nation,” PM Modi said on X (formerly known as Twitter).

PM Modi vs Congress

“No wonder, 140 crore Indians are rejecting them,” he added.

PM Modi’s remark drew an immediate response from the Congress leadership, who asserted that the Prime Minister’s “brazenness in orchestrating and coordinating an attack on the judiciary, in the name of defending the judiciary, is the height of hypocrisy”.

“The PM’s brazenness in orchestrating and coordinating an attack on the judiciary, in the name of defending the judiciary, is the height of hypocrisy! The Supreme Court has delivered body blows to him in recent weeks. The Electoral Bonds Scheme is but one example. The Supreme Court declared them to be unconstitutional – and it is now proved beyond doubt that they were a blatant instrument of fear, blackmail, and intimidation to force companies to donate to the BJP,” senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said while retweeting PM’s post.

“Instead of giving a legal guarantee to MSP, the Prime Minister has given a legal guarantee to corruption. All that the Prime Minister has done in the last ten years is divide, distort, divert, and defame. 140 crore Indians are waiting to give him a befitting reply very soon,” he added.

PM Modi vs Congress

Earlier in the day, more than 600 lawyers, including senior advocate Harish Salve and Bar Council chairperson Manan Kumar Mishra, wrote to CJI Chandrachud alleging that a “vested interest group” is trying to put pressure on the judiciary and defame courts, especially in cases of corruption involving politicians.

The letter targeted a section of lawyers without naming them and alleged that they defend politicians by day and then try to influence judges through the media at night.

“We are writing to you expressing our deepest concern on the manner in which a vested interest group is trying to pressure the judiciary, influence judicial process and defame our courts on the basis of frivolous logic and stale political agendas. Their antics are vitiating the atmosphere of trust and harmony, which characterises the functioning of the judiciary. Their pressure tactics are most obvious in political cases, particularly those involving political figures accused of corruption. These tactics are damaging to our courts and threaten our democratic fabric,” the lawyers said in their letter.

After Sadhguru returns from the hospital, he meditates and “recharges with simple meal.

Earlier this month, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev had emergency brain surgery in Delhi.

After receiving his discharge from a private hospital in Delhi more than a week after undergoing emergency brain surgery, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev posted glimpses of him lounging. According to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, the spiritual leader had experienced “life-threatening” bleeding in the head.

A video showed him sitting in meditation after he left the hospital.

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, 66, underwent the surgery on March 17.

“Sadhguru recharges with a simple evening meal,” the video said in the caption.

Many of his followers gathered at the hospital gate as he was being discharged and greeted him with folded hands.

The founder of the Isha Foundation, which has its headquarters in Coimbatore, is Jaggi Vasudev. He has started environmental conservation initiatives including “Save Soil” and “Rally for Rivers.”

Prior to the procedure, he had been experiencing excruciating headaches for the previous four weeks, according to the hospital.

Even though the pain was excruciating, he carried on with his social life and everyday routine, even leading the Maha Shivaratri ceremony on March 8. In a video, senior consultant neurologist Dr. Vinit Suri of the hospital stated that the patient “ignored all the pain and continued with all meetings.”

On March 15, though, the spiritual leader called Dr. Suri because his headache was getting worse.

It further stated that Suri instantly suspected a subdural haematoma and recommended an emergency MRI.

The following day, the spiritual leader had a brain MRI, which showed extensive skull bleeding.

Among those wishing him a fast recovery was Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ludhiana: Experts report an increase in drug-related deaths and overdoses.

“When someone starts a drug, they gradually stop feeling the intense buzz which was initially felt,” said psychiatrist Dr. Arvind Goyal. “To get that feeling again, they first increase the dose and then start trying other drugs as well.”

There has been an increase in drug-related overdose deaths in the city, and experts claim there is no known remedy for these types of overdoses.

Dr. Charan Kamal, a forensics expert from Civil Hospital, estimates that over five of the thirty drug overdose and poisoning deaths that occur in the city each month are caused by drug mixing. “I’ve noticed an increase in the popularity of the so-called “drugs cocktail” fad. Since there is no antidote, people are overdosing and dying from it, he stated.

“When someone starts using drugs, they gradually stop feeling the intense buzz which was initially felt,” stated psychiatrist Dr. Arvind Goyal. They start by increasing the dosage and experimenting with different drugs in an attempt to relive that experience. To maintain the intensity, Goyal continued, someone taking opioids, for instance, might take tramadol tablets, poppy husk, sleeping drugs, and so on.

According to Goyal, the adulterants that were added to medications were extremely dangerous. While there are antidotes for specific pharmaceuticals, it is rare that we know exactly what was consumed in what quantity when someone has had a cocktail. “It is impossible to ascertain that,” he declared. According to Goyal, if cocaine was combined with non-soluble substances like talc, chalk, and paracetamol to increase its volume, it might clog end arteries in the heart, brain, and eyes, resulting in organ failure.
