Live score: India and England

IND vs ENG Live Score, 2nd Test Day 4 Today: Right at the stroke of lunch Jasprit Bumrah picked up Jonny Bairstow on Day 4 at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam reducing England to 194/6. The visitors still need 205 runs to win. R Ashwin was pick of the bowlers in the morning session for India with 3 wickets.

Earlier Shubman Gill’s scintillating return to form helped India post an imposing target of 399 against England which the Bazballers will fancy chasing down on Monday, the fourth day of the second Test. At Stumps on Sunday, England were in a good position posting 67/1 with ‘nighthawk’ Rehan Ahmed (batting on 9) and opener Zak Crawley (batting on 29) in the middle. The other opener Ben Duckett had started like a house on fire with a quickfire 27 off 28 balls before the veteran Ravichandran Ashwin sent him back to the pavilion.

Earlier, Gill got the proverbial monkey off his back when he scored 104 runs to help India post the target. Axar Patel gave him able support with a well-made 45 but the others like Srikar Bharat and Ashwin could not add much to the score.

Here are some highlights around IND vs ENG 2nd Test Day 4

  • England were aggressive throughout the first session but India fought back with regular wickets
  • Ashwin picked two wickets and is now one away from reaching 500 in Tests
  • Zak Crawley scored 73 off 132 but ended up falling to Kuldeep Yadav minutes before Lunch
  • The injured Joe Root scampered to 16 off 10 before falling to Ashwin
