Amit Shah argues that ‘penetration continues unabated’ and accuses Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of impeding refugee citizenship.

According to Amit Shah, Mamata Banerjee’s opposition to the CAA is keeping refugees from obtaining Indian citizenship. He asked Bengali citizens to back the BJP in 2024 so that the TMC government could put an end to the continuous infiltration.

Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed on Tuesday that Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, is preventing refugees from obtaining Indian citizenship by opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

Speaking at a roadshow in Malda South, Shah urged Bengalis to support the saffron party in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, claiming that under the Trinamool Congress (TMC) administration, infiltration was still ongoing in the state and that the only way to stop it was to vote for the BJP.

“Under the government of the Trinamool Congress, infiltration is still happening. Mamata Didi is against the CAA and is against granting citizenship to refugees. “Vote for the BJP if you want to stop corruption and infiltration,” he said.

Amit Shah, the senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister, conducted a roadshow in Malda, West Bengal, on Tuesday, weeks before the district’s Lok Sabha elections.

The Head Post Office More to the Rabindra statue was the starting point of the Malda South tour. Shah was spotted waving at the throng while standing on a decorated lorry with state BJP leaders.

As hundreds of people gathered on both sides of the road, BJP supporters yelled chants endorsing Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Shah declared at the Karandighi gathering that neither Mamata Banerjee nor the Congress could “dare to interfere” with CAA.

Under the CAA, undocumented migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan who landed in India before December 31, 2014, are granted citizenship, except for Muslims.

Cut money culture and corruption in Bengal must end, according to the Union Minister in Karandighi, adding that “TMC cannot do it.”

“We aim to secure 35 Lok Sabha seats from West Bengal,” Shah continued.

On May 7, the third round of Lok Sabha elections will take place in the Malda South seat.
