Lakshadweep Tourism: Step-by-step guide to get permit to enter the islands

Who needs a permit?

Anyone who is not an island native may only enter, stay, or attempt to stay on the islands with a permit granted by the appropriate authority.

How to get it online?

Applying for a permit online is the easiest and fastest way to obtain it.

Visit Portal

To begin, go to the ePermit portal (https://epermit.utl.gov.in/pages/signup), sign up, and fill out the form.

Update Your Itinerary

Now,  choose your island travel dates, upload any required documents and pay the fees. You may receive your e-permit 15days before your travel.

How to get it offline?

You can obtain the application form from the District Collector's office in Kavaratti or download it from the Lakshadweep Administration website (http://www.lakshadweeptourism.com/contact.html).

Fill in and submit

After obtaining the form, fill them out, attach the documents and submit them to the Collector’s office. This is a longer process.

Fees

The application fee to obtain the permit is Rs 50 for each applicant and the heritage fee is Rs 100 for children aged between 12 and 18. For people above the age 18, the heritage fee is Rs 200.
