Producer Rajan Shahi of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai abruptly terminated the actors’ contract, shocking Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe, who had been playing Arman and Ruhi on the program.
Due to their ‘unprofessional behavior,’ the performers’ contracts with the show were terminated on March 18, allegedly impeding the show’s productivity. Additionally, there are rumors that the two are dating.
Rohit Purohit will play Armaan, while Garvita Sadhwani was cast as Ruhi. Pinkvilla claims that Shehzada Dhami was unreachable for a few days following the termination before deciding to answer the phone.
The actor remained tight-lipped about it and said, “Mujhe kuch nahi kehna hai is spar (I don’t want to say anything on this.) I am not ready to talk about it yet.”
There were also reports of Shehzada Dhami doing Bigg Boss OTT 3 after his exit from the show. However, the actor seems to be guarded about this as well. He said, “Mai kuch tippani nahi karna chahta hoon isspar (I don’t want to comment on it).”
More recently, actor Samridhii Shukla who plays Abhira posted romantic stills with Rohit Purohit as Armaan. Samridhii captioned the images as, “Abhira aur Armaan, shuru hogi ab pyaar ki kahani“.
Fans seemed comfortable with the shift of characters in the show and even commented positively on Samridhii’s post. A fan wrote, “I am really happy that finally samriddhi getting the position she deserves”, while another one wrote, “Ab laga Abhira aur armaan main lead hai (Now it feels like Abhira and Armaan are leads)”, a fan page of the actor commented, “Thisss is called chemistryyyyy!!!).”
