BMW charges Rs 1.40 crore for the iX xDrive50 launch.

BMW introduces the iX xDrive50, an electric vehicle with a notable power boost and a higher battery capacity, to the Indian market, expanding its electric lineup.

BMW iX xDrive50 battery and performance

Two electric motors drive the BMW iX xDrive50, generating a combined 516 horsepower and 765 Nm of torque. This is an increase of around 200 horsepower and 135 Nm over the xDrive40 model. This power surge beats competitors like the Mercedes-Benz EQE (4.9 seconds) and the Audi Q8 e-tron (5.6 seconds) in acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph. With its 111.5kWh battery, it can go 635 kilometers on a single charge. The ability to recharge from 10% to 80% in 35 minutes with a 195kW DC charger improves charging convenience. The 22 kW AC wallbox charger for BMWs can charge a battery from 0% to 100% in 5.5 hours.

BMW iX xDrive50 design

The design language of the BMW iX xDrive50 is comparable to that of the xDrive40. Air suspension and 22-inch light-alloy wheels are standard. Sporty front and rear bumper covers and gloss black trim pieces are included with the standard Sport Package. The optional BMW Individual exterior line adds Titanium Bronze elements to the grille graphics, door handles, window trim strips, and badging for an extra dash of distinction. Numerous colors, including Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, Black Sapphire, Aventurine Red, Oxide Grey, and Storm Bay Metallic, are available for the vehicle.

Inside the BMW iX xDrive50.

The BMW iX xDrive50’s interior features an inclined dashboard with a redesigned hexagon-shaped steering wheel and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster that are accompanied with a 14.9-inch infotainment system. An immersive eighteen-speaker Harman Kardon sound system is included, along with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The front seats are ventilated as well. The remainder of the cabin is unchanged from the xDrive40.

BMW iX xDrive50 price and rivals

The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, priced at Rs 1.39 crore, and the Audi Q8 e-tron, priced at Rs 1.27 crore, are competitors of the BMW iX xDrive50, which is priced at Rs 1.40 crore.
