According to police, Bigg Boss OTT winner and prominent YouTuber Elvish Yadav acknowledged to utilizing snake venom and arranging snakes at rave events staged in the National Capital Territory region.
Police said that Bigg Boss OTT winner and renowned YouTuber Elvish Yadav acknowledged to injecting snake venom and arranging snakes at rave parties he held in the National Capital Territory.
Yadav was arrested on Sunday, March 17, in connection with suspicions of using and distributing snake venom for recreational purposes.
The YouTuber, who is from Gurugram, was sentenced to 14 days in judicial detention and was “called in for questioning at Sector 20 police station on Sunday,” according to officials familiar with the case. Elvish is also facing accusations for allegedly utilizing snakes in his film shootings.
A snake smuggling ring was discovered in November of last year when police raided a banquet facility in Noida Sector 51. Five people, four of them are snake charmers, were arrested for allegedly distributing snake venom. Nine snakes, including cobras, were also discovered among them.
