Anjali Arora, a reality show star and influencer, has revealed that she will be making her acting debut as Sita in the film Shri Ramayan Katha, directed by Abhishek Singh.

Influencer Anjali Arora recently revealed that she would be making her silver screen debut as Sita in Abhishek Singh’s film Shri Ramayan Katha, while fans are excitedly awaiting Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita. The Hindu epic served as inspiration for both films.

Anjali recently told ETimes in an interview that she felt “blessed” to play Sita. The actor also talked about how the director had told her that she was up against a few other actors when she first expressed interest in getting the part. But in the end, she was cast for the part by the producers. Anjali further revealed that she has been actively watching videos and attending seminars to prepare for the part ever since she was cast for it last month.

Anjali Arora accepted that her performance will unavoidably be compared to Sai Pallavi’s portrayal of Sita in the Ramayan since both movies are based on Hindu mythology. She did, however, also convey her satisfaction at being compared to a well-known actor, saying, “I will be happy if I am compared to a Bollywood actress.”

Anjali Arora gained a substantial social media following after the virality of her dancing videos and her appearance on the reality show Lock Upp. She discussed in the interview her worries about how her social media presence could affect how others perceive her in Shri Ramayan Katha, where she plays Sita. She emphasized her commitment to developing her character while accepting that she cannot change how others see her. Anjali stated that her “social media image has nothing to do with her acting skills and won’t affect her performance,” acknowledging the inevitable existence of trolls and their freedom to voice their opinions.
