The Indian legend, Sachin Tendulkar, and Amir batted together in the opening match of the ISPL. Sachin appeared in excellent form, smashing massive sixes off actor Akshay Kumar’s bowling. Prior to launching his attack, Sachin graciously invited Amir Lone to face the first over of the match.

Amir Hussain Lone’s path from a tragic accident to becoming a symbol of resilience and determination in para-cricket is truly inspiring. Born in 1990 in Bijbehara, Jammu and Kashmir, Amir experienced a life-changing event at just eight years old. Playing at his father’s sawmill, he was in a terrible accident that cost him both arms. Despite this devastating setback, Amir’s passion for cricket and his spirit remained undimmed.

Despite facing challenges, Amir’s unwavering determination helped him overcome adversity. Supported by his family and receiving timely treatment from his parents and an army unit in his village, Amir began adapting to his new circumstances. He developed a unique cricket technique, using his legs for bowling and his shoulder and neck for batting. This innovative approach allowed him to pursue his passion for cricket, showing that physical limitations could not dampen his spirit.

In 2013, a teacher introduced Amir to para cricket, recognizing his talent. Since then, he has not only joined the Jammu and Kashmir para-cricket team but also become its captain, leading by example and inspiring many with his skills and leadership. His exceptional journey and distinctive playing style have earned him admiration from cricketing legends, including Sachin Tendulkar, who expressed a desire to meet Amir and praised his inspirational story.

Lone, an ardent admirer of Virat Kohli, also visited the Gujarat Giants squad, a team owned by the Adani Group, in the WPL 2024. He expressed gratitude to the Adani Group for their support during difficult times and for inviting him to meet the GG cricketers. His story has garnered widespread attention, making him a well-known figure.

The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), also known as the ISPL T10 League, features teams owned by actors from Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu cinema. Majhi Mumbai is owned by Amitabh Bachchan, while Srinagar Ke Veer is owned by Akshay Kumar. Hrithik Roshan owns the Bangalore Strikers, and Suriya owns the Chennai Singhams.

Ram Charan owns the Falcon Risers Hyderabad, while Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan jointly own the Tigers of Kolkata.
