When two snatchers in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri targeted a man, little did they know what they got themselves into.
Vinod Badola, an encounter specialist from the Delhi Police Special Cell was out for an evening walk in Nehru Park, when he was attacked by two miscreants.
One of them punched Badola on the nose, causing him to fall and bleed. It was then the other accused snatched the chain around the cop’s neck.
Things took a turn when Vinod Badola, injured, managed to overpower one of the snatchers, Gaurav, who was armed with a pistol and called the police. The other, however, managed to escape from the scene.
The police arrived at the scene and arrested Gaurav. Subsequently, Vinod, with the help of local police, chased and arrested the other accused, Pawan.
During the interrogation, it was found that both the accused have several cases registered against them. Meanwhile, Vinod Badola is a recipient of the President’s award for his bravery and has also dismantled various terror modules.
