According to investigations, actor Gurucharan Singh, who portrayed Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma, went missing on April 22 and made an ATM transaction on April 24.
Actor Gurucharan Singh of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been gone for a week. The most recent information on the actor’s whereabouts, pending the conclusion of the police investigation, is that he took out Rs 7,000 from an ATM on April 24, two days after going missing, in the vicinity of Palam, Delhi, a few kilometers from his residence. Additionally, earlier CCTV footage showing Gurucharan Singh crossing the road in the Palam neighborhood at approximately 9:14 p.m. on April 22 has come to light. According to a few additional sources, Gurucharan was having financial difficulties and was planning to get married soon.
His family, however, told Indianexpress.com that they are not aware of any plans for a marriage involving Gurucharan. They continued by saying they were unsure of the source of these reports. The relative added that there is currently no update on the case and that Gurucharan’s father is not in a position to comment.

Although his father had previously told the police that Gurucharan Singh was not experiencing any mental health issues, which is why even he was unable to explain the actor’s disappearance, there is no confirmation that the actor is experiencing financial difficulties. A Delhi Police Special Cell squad also visited Gurucharan’s house on Sunday to track down his potential route before his abduction.
Gurucharan Singh was to catch a flight from Delhi to Mumbai at 8:30 pm on April 22, however, he never reached the destination nor did he return home. His phone has also been switched off since then. His father filed a police complaint and a case under section 365 (abduction) was registered. The police continue to investigate the matter still.
Recently, his colleague from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Mandar Chanwadkar spoke to Indianexpress.com and shared that Gurucharan Singh used to frequently travel between Delhi and Mumbai. Mandar who plays the role of Atmaram Bhide on the show also shared that he had last met Gurucharan in December at Dilip Joshi’s son’s wedding. His co-star Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal also told us that she has not been in touch with the actor since June 2023.
