Jhanak actor Dolly Sohi passes away a day after sister Amandeep Sohi, family issues statement!

Dolly Sohi was reportedly battling cervical cancer, and her sister Amandeep Sohi was suffering from jaundice.

Television actors Dolly Sohi and Amandeep Sohi have passed away. Dolly, known for her role as Srishti Mukherjee on the television series Jhanak, had recently quit the show citing health reasons. According to reports, Dolly was battling cervical cancer. Amandeep was known for her stint in Badtameez Dil, and Dolly was a part of other television shows such as Bhabhi, Kalash, Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi and Khoob Ladi Mardaani Jhansi Ki Rani. 

We are devastated. Dolly passed away around 4am this morning.” Brother Manu Sohi also confirmed that their sister Amandeep Sohi had passed away on March 7; she had been diagnosed with jaundice. Manu said, “Both Dolly and Amandeep were admitted to Apollo Hospital in New Mumbai. Amandeep passed away yesterday and now Dolly.” Dolly’s funeral will be held on Friday afternoon.

Dolly was an active Instagram user and often shared videos with her fans. In one of her recent posts, she had said, “THANK U EVERYONE FOR SENDING YOUR LOVE AND PRAYERS Life has been a Roller Coaster lately, But if u have the strength to fight with it then ur journey becomes easier. It’s up to u what do u choose to be A Victim Of Journey (CANCER) Or A Survivor Of Journey.”

According to reports, Dolly was previously married to Avneet Dhanowa, an NRI residing in Canada.  Dolly is survived by her daughter Amelie. In a conversation with ETimes, Dolly had said that telling her daughter about her diagnosis was tough. When Amelie was just 14 years old, Dolly hinted at her condition, assuring her that she would get better soon.
