Edwards repeating his teammate was likely a throwback to Towns’ viral moment of him saying “after all that” in a different voice over a year ago during an unofficial interview.

Before the current season, the Minnesota Timberwolves were unable to win a single playoff series since 2004. The team missed the postseason for 14 consecutive years since then before ending their drought in 2018.
Drafted first overall by the Timberwolves in 2015, Karl-Anthony Towns experienced the organization’s struggles firsthand. The four-time NBA All-Star missed the playoffs in five of his first six years in the league and only won his first playoff series in his ninth year.
Towns reflected upon his nine-year Timberwolves tenure during the post-game interview after clinching the series against the Nuggets on Sunday.

has established himself as one of the league’s premier young stars.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards will look to make a deeper playoff run as the Minnesota Timberwolves face the Dallas Mavericks next for the Western Conference finals.
