JEE Advanced 2024: Admit Card, Exam Date (26 May), Syllabus, Pattern, Previous Year Papers.

JEE Advanced 2024: IIT Madras has issued the JEE Advanced admit card 2024 to the registered candidates. The link to download the admit card is being sent to the candidates on their registered email IDs. JEE Advanced 2024 exam date is May 26. The exam timing for JEE Advanced 2024 paper 1 is from 9 am to 12 noon, and for paper 2, it is from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. IIT Madras has confirmed officially that the JEE Advanced 2024 exam date will not be changed despite the Lok Sabha elections. The exam will be held in exam centers across 229 cities in India and 3 cities outside India. The JEE Advanced exam will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode and it will have two papers, each containing three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Candidates must attempt both papers 1 and 2 to be eligible for admission to the IITs.

JEE Advanced 2024 Admit Card

Candidates can access the admit card under their respective JEE Advanced 2024 login. Candidates who successfully register for JEE Advanced 2024 by paying the application fee, are issued the JEE Advanced admit card 2024. The test center is allotted via the admit card only. 

On the day of the exam, candidates must carry a printed copy of the downloaded admit card and their valid original photo identity card, any one of the following:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • School/College/Institute ID
  • Driving License
  • Voter ID
  • Passport
  • PAN Card
  • Notarized Certificate with photograph

Only candidates having valid admit cards and photo identity cards are allowed to write the examination. Only pens, pencils, drinking water in a transparent bottle, a downloaded admit card, and an original photo identity card are allowed to be taken inside the examination hall. 

JEE Advanced 2024 Mock Test – OUT

The JEE Advanced 2024 mock test is available on the official website. There are 2 mock tests available for the exam from last year – Mock test 1 and Mock test 2. Candidates must take mock tests to know the exam pattern, analyze their preparation for the exam, understand the demands of the exam, and so on.

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Pattern

Check the question paper pattern, marking scheme, time, etc details of the JEE Advanced 2024 exam below:

  • Mode of the exam: The examination will be conducted ONLY in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
  • Number of papers: JEE (Advanced) 2024 will consist of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each. Both papers are compulsory.
  • Language: English and Hindi
  • Total duration: 6 hours
  • Marking scheme: The JEE Advanced marking scheme changes each year. Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions. Details of the marking scheme will be provided in the “Instructions to Candidates” section at the time of examination.
  • Number of sections: Each question paper will consist of three separate sections, viz., Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. 

JEE Advanced 2024 Application Form (Over)

Only those candidates who secure JEE Main 2024 rank among the top 2.5 lakh candidates are eligible to fill the JEE Advanced application form. The application process is online and the form is available only on the official website. 

  • As the first step, every student needs to register through the official website by providing their JEE Main 2024 roll number, password, and security pin.
  • As the second step, students have to enter various personal details like their name, parents’ name, communication details, address details, etc. in the specific columns of the JEE Advanced 2024 application form. The details entered in the application form must be accurate as the incorrect details may lead to the cancellation of candidature at later stages.
  • Students will also need to enter their choices of exam centers while filling out the application form.
  • Apart from the details, students will also need to upload scanned images of the documents needed.
  • After submitting all the details, students must take multiple printouts of the final application form for future requirements

Candidates will have to upload scanned documents in the online form. The required documents are given below:

  1. Class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it or the birth certificate.
  2. Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate

  4. If the candidate’s name is not the same as in the Class X certificate, a gazette notification showing the change of name. 
  5. Caste certificates as needed.

  •  Age limit: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1999. Five years of age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994.
  • Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years. The candidates who are appearing for JEE Advanced 2024 for the first time, can also appear for JEE Advanced 2025.
  • Appearance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination: Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2023 or 2024 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2024.

  • Students must start their JEE Advanced preparation early. It will help them to complete the syllabus timely, clear doubts, revise it thoroughly and appear for the mock tests.

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Centres

The exam centres of JEE Advanced 2024 are to be placed across various cities in India. Candidates shall be allowed to choose the test cities of their choice and preference while filling out the online form. JEE Advanced exam centres are divided into seven zones namely, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, IIT, Kharagpur, IT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Madras. Candidates will be asked to choose their zone basis their preference, at the time of filling out the JEE Advanced 2024 application form. The centre will be allotted to the chosen centres by the candidates. Details of the centre like the address, name, reporting time, etc will be available with the JEE Advanced 2024 admit card. JEE (Advanced) 2024 will not be conducted in any centres outside India.

JEE Advanced 2024 Answer Key and Response Sheet

The provisional answer keys for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are displayed on the online portal. After the display of provisional answer keys, the candidates may submit their challenges, if any, on the JEE Advanced 2024 candidate portal. The final answer keys are displayed on the website, after considering the candidates’ challenges. The marks will be awarded in accordance with the final answer key.

The responses of the candidates who have appeared for BOTH Paper 1 and Paper 2, recorded during the exam, will be available for viewing, downloading and printing from the JEE advanced portal.

EE Advanced 2024 Result

JEE Advanced 2024 result is announced online. Candidates have to login to check their scores and download the scorecard. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers. Individual rank cards will not be sent to candidates.

The marks obtained by a candidate in Physics in JEE Advanced 2024 will be equal to the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 1 plus the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 2. Marks obtained in Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated in the same way. The aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in JEE (Advanced) 2024 will be the sum of the marks awarded to the candidate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. A candidate is said to have qualified in JEE (Advanced) if they secure the minimum percentage of marks in each subject and in the aggregate, as per the respective category.

JEE Advanced Conducting IITs

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is conducted by one of the seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), namely IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Guwahati, on a round-robin basis. The IITs are arranged in a rational order to conduct the exam, and the rotation is usually from the top to the bottom of the list and then starting again at the top of the list and so on. The exam is guided by the Joint Admission Board (JAB). This rotation system is essentially a way to ensure fair distribution of exam conduction responsibility among the seven zonal IITs.

AAT 2024

The BArch program is available at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. Candidates desirous of joining the BArch (Architecture) program will have to pass the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Only those candidates who have qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2024 are eligible to appear in AAT 2024. AAT will be conducted at all IITs. No separate admit card will be issued for AAT. The downloaded admit card of JEE (Advanced) 2024 has to be printed and produced in the AAT examination hall, along with the original photo identity card.

Candidates must register online at the JEE (Advanced) 2024 online portal for AAT. The test will consist of one paper of three hours duration in the English language only. Candidates should bring their own drawing and colouring aids.  The results of AAT will be declared on the JEE (Advanced) 2024 online portal.

AFCAT Exam Pattern 2024: Total Marks and Negative Marking.

AFCAT Exam Pattern 2024: Indian Air Force (IAF) officially releases AFCAT exam pattern to help students understand the structure of the exam. Understanding the AFCAT exam pattern enables the students to know the sections from where questions are asked in the exam. A total of 100 questions are asked in the AFCAT exam while EKT carries 50 questions. Candidates get two hours to solve AFCAT paper while 45 minutes for EKT. The test paper of AFCAT comprises questions from General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Military Reasoning, and Aptitude test. How Many Papers are in AFCAT?

There are total of four papers in AFCAT according to AFCAT Exam Pattern which includes General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. AFCAT paper duration is 150 minutes i.e two hours. Candidates need to score between 140 to 190 marks out of 300 in AFCAT exam.

AFCAT Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of the AFCAT exam is given below:

  • For correct answers, candidates score three marks. The score of candidates is calculated after deducting AFCAT negative marking
  • There is AFCAT negative marking. One mark is deducted for every incorrect answer
  • No marks are allotted to unattempted questions

AFSB SSB Exam Pattern

Candidates qualifying the online test of AFCAT are called for AFSB interview. The AFSB interview is conducted in three stages at different centres-Dehradun, Varanasi, Gandhinagar and Mysuru. At AFSB, candidates need to undergo the following tests inorder to ascertain their suitability and gauge your potential as an Officer in the Indian Air Force.

Stage-I

Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion test is conducted on the first day. Stage-I test is a screening test and only those who qualify are called for subsequent testing. All Stage-I qualified candidates are subjected to document check to ascertain their eligibility for the branches applied for. Candidates who either do not qualify in Stage-I or do not meet the required eligibility criteria are sent back on the first day itself. 

Stage-II

All Stage 1 qualified candidates need to undergo tests as part of their Stage 2 testing during four to five days. Fifth day is for CPSS testing (Flying branch). The following tests are conducted in Stage 2:

  • Psychological Tests are written tests that are conducted by a Psychologist
  • Group Tests are interactive indoor and outdoor activities which are a combination of mental and physical work
  • Interview involves a personal conversation with an Interviewing Officer
  • Candidates who have applied for flying branch and have been recommended, will also have to undergo Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) test

For Flying branch

Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) will be administered to recommended candidates only. This is once in a lifetime test. Candidates who failed the CPSS/ PABT in an earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy are not eligible.

Medical Test

Candidates recommended by the Selection Board, are sent for the medical examination either at Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME), New Delhi or Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bengaluru.

The Officers’ Training Academy (OTA)

  • Training establishment of the Indian Army that train officers for the Short Service Commission (SSC).
  • Course duration: 49 weeks course
  • OTA prepares graduates for all branches of the Army, except for the Army Medical Corps (AMC).
  • Motto of OTA: “Serve With Honour
  • The SSC Short Service commission officer’s tenure is 10+4 years (i.e. a compulsory 10 years of service and 4 years as extension).
  • After the completion of this tenure the officers can either opt for a Permanent commission (which will be given only based upon the performance seen by confidential reports, etc.) or can opt out of the Indian Army.
  • The ex NDA and CTW officers have a slight edge over their SSC counterparts in courses owing to the fact that they have trained three years more than the SSC entries.
  • You can convert from a short service commission to a permanent commission, however the vice versa is not possible.

NDA Qualifying Marks

To qualify NDA exam, candidates need to secure the overall and section-wise qualifying marks or cutoff marks in the exam. Candidates need to secure 25 per cent in each section. UPSC CDS 2024: On May 15, 2024, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) made the application form available for the CDS 2 exam. Until June 4, 2024, candidates may apply online for the CDS exam. September 1, 2024 is the date of the UPSC CSD 2 exam.

  • CDS 2 2024 age limit for Indian Military Academy (IMA) is that unmarried male candidates born not earlier than January 2, 2000, and not later than January 1, 2005, are eligible to apply

CDS Exam Dates 2024

CDS 1 & 2 Exam Dates 2024 were announced by UPSC through the tentative calendar. The CDS 2 2024 exam will be conducted on September 1, 2024. The notification will be published by UPSC on May 15, 2024. The application form will be made available from May 15 to June 4, 2024. The information for the CDS dates for the year 2023-24 was released by the UPSC through the UPSC exam calendar.

CDS 2 Application Form 2024

The CDS 2 2024 apply online link was activated on May 15, 2024, and will continue till June 4, 2024. Initially, the candidates have to register themselves for the OTR and then they will be allowed to apply for the CDS application form. 

How to Make Corrections in the CDS 2 Application Form?

The steps to make corrections in the CDS 2 application form have been given below for the candidates:

  • Go to the official website 
  • Click on the link available for CDS 2 form correction 
  • Log in to the registered account using login credentials
  • Make corrections to the CDS 2 application correction
  • Save and print a copy of the modified CDS 2 application form 
  • Log out from the registered profile

How to Make Corrections in UPSC OTR Profile?

The candidates need to follow the steps given below to register themselves on the OTR platform:

  • Go to the official website: upsconline.nic.in 
  • Click on the registration link
  • Click on the new registration tab
  • Fill out the details asked- Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Mobile Number, Email Id, etc
  • Password will be sent to the registered email id and mobile number. 
  • Re-login to the account and reset the password 
  • After the re-login go to the account and click on the CDS 2 application form link to apply for the exam 

CDS Application Fee

  • The application fees can be paid both online and offline
  • The application fees are INR 200 for General and OBC male candidates
  • SC and ST candidates were exempted from fee payment

How to Fill CDS 2 2024 Application Form Online?

The steps have been given below for the candidates to apply for the CDS 2 exam:

  • Go to the official website- upsconline.nic.in
  • Login into the account on the OTR platform (The registration process for OTR has given above)
  • Fill out the details that have been asked for part 1 registration
  • Upload the photograph, signature and photo identity proof

  • Choose the exam centre for the CDS 2 exam 
  • Finally, submit the application form 
  • The confirmation message will be sent to the registered mobile number and email id

CDS Eligibility 2024

To be eligible for the exam, candidates need to fulfil the following CDS Eligibility Criteria 2024:

CDS Exam Pattern 2024

CDS exam pattern 2024 is divided into a written exam and SSB Interview. The written exam for IMA, INA, and AFA comprises three sections: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. The test paper for admission to OTA comprises two sections: English and General Knowledge. Each section is held for two hours. The total marks of the test for IMA, INA, and AFA are 300, while it is 200 for OTA. The SSB Interview for IMA, INA, and AFA carries 300 marks each while it is 200 marks for OTA. The SSB Interview procedure consists of two stages: I and II. Stage I of the SSB Interview comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT) and Interviews, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and Conferences.

CDS Preparation Tips 2024

CDS Exam Day Guidelines

  • A sheet for doing rough work is provided by the invigilator

CDS Admit Card 2024

CDS admit card 2024 was released online by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) on the official website-upsc.gov.in. The candidates were allowed to access the CDS  admit card from the official website through the candidate’s login using the registration number or roll number and date of birth. The steps to download the admit card by following the steps given below:

  • Go to the official website
  • Click on the CDS admit card link
  • The link will redirect to the new page
  • Click on the CDS Admit card link
  • Read the instructions carefully
  • Fill out the details asked like application number, date of birth, etc.
  • Click on the submit button
  • The admit card will appear on the screen
  • Download the admit card and save it for later use 

Discrepancies in UPSC CDS Admit Card

Candidates are advised to check their name, father’s name, category, date of birth, photograph, signature, etc. printed on the admit card carefully. In case there are any discrepancies in the details, candidates should immediately contact the examination authority. Candidates should provide the following details while reporting the issue:

  • Exam name and year
  • Registration number
  • Roll number
  • Postal address (Candidates need to mention the application number)

What to Do If You Find Discrepancy in the CDS Admit Card?

According to the latest instructions by the UPSC for the CDS 2 exam, the candidates should follow the measures given below:

  • In case of any discrepancy in the e-Admit Card, the same may be communicated to the Commission immediately at e-mail ID: Skindo- upsc@gov.in, to enable the Commission to decide between the matte
  • In case the photograph is not visible or available on the e-admit Card, candidates are advised to carry three (03) identical photographs (one photograph for each session) along with the printout of the e-admit Card at the Venue of the Examination for appearing at the Examination with an undertaking. No paper Admit Card will be issued for the Examination by the Commission

CDS Exam Centres 2024

CDS exam 2024 will be conducted in more than 70 cities in three shifts. Candidates are required to enter their preferences for CDS 2024 exam centres while filling out the application form. Candidates can choose only one exam city at the time of application. IIT-JEE Topper: Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy has made his mark in the JEE Advanced 2023 results by securing the top position in the prestigious exam. A 17-year-old boy from Telangana achieved the first position in the IIT entrance exam, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2023. Reddy secured 341 out of 360 marks, or 94.74 percentile, in the JEE Advanced 2023 exam, according to IIT Guwahati, which administered the JEE Advanced exam in 2023. Reddy stated that while he was thrilled to receive the All India Rank 1, he was confident of coming in the top 10.

Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy hails from the Nagarkurnool district of Telangana. His parents, Rajeshwar and Nagalaxmi Reddy, teach mathematics at the government school in Madgul, Rangareddy district, Telangana. He bagged AIR 15 in the JEE Main 2023. He was selected for the INMO First Level Olympiad and was a deserving student from the start. He completed his class 12th from the CBSE Board. He achieved 10/10 in class 10 and a 987/1000 on his tests in class 12. According to his LinkedIn profile, Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy is currently pursuing a BTech in Computer Science.

Reddy started studying for the JEE Advanced in class 11th.
