CMT Music Awards: Both CMT and its YouTube channel streamed the red carpet live.

The biggest honor of the evening, Video of the Year, Award to Jelly Roll for her video “Need a Favor” at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.
Kelsea Ballerini, Jelly Roll, and Cody Johnson were in the category.
Presented by actor Billy Bob Thornton, after opening the envelope, he said, “Oh my God! Jelly Roll, come on up here.”
Jelly Roll accepted the trophy, saying, “Billy Bob Thornton just gave me my third trophy of the night, y’all!” Jelly Roll won awards for Male Video of the Year and Performance of the Year earlier in the night.
Cody Johnson, his rival and friend, was thanked by him, saying, “I love you brother, you are my favorite cowboy.” “Kelsea Ballerini, you go baby!” he said, nodding to Ballerini as well.
“Gayle King, I’m gonna be a little late in the morning, cause we’re going to party!” Jelly Roll said prior to taking the stage, as he was also the performer of the night’s last live performance.
The “Girl Crush” foursome announced the “Take Me Home” Tour with Sugarland before they started working together. The journey, which takes its name from Collins’ song, will begin on October 24 in Greenville, South Carolina, and end on December 13 with a performance in Nashville. The Castellows, a country trio, will open on all days.
Who is hosting the CMT Awards 2024 ?
Kelsea Ballerini will be hosting this year’s CMT Awards.
The will be the first time Ballerini has solo hosted the show after co-hosting for two years with Kane Brown in 2021 and 2023 and joining remotely in 2022.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be back for my 4th year with my CMT family to host this year’s CMT Music awards in Austin, TX,” Ballerini said.
“Hosting an awards show that celebrates the music that the fans love most has been an honor and I know this year will be another unforgettable night.”
