Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar are getting ready to reveal the T20 World Cup 2024 roster as the deadline draws near. The presence of certain players is the subject of speculation.
The date for revealing India’s T20 World Cup 2024 roster is May 1. Talk over who would play for India in the famous competition that begins on June 2 is becoming more and more prevalent as the date approaches. The final 15 members of the squad must be announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in theoretically only a few days.
In the meantime, several former cricket players have shared their opinions over the BCCI’s choice for the forthcoming competition. Irfan Pathan feels that India needs five quality bowlers. He would rather have two wrist spinners on the team, such as Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi.

He believes fielding prowess should be taken into consideration and that Yuzvendra Chahal’s IPL performance shouldn’t be the only factor considered. Jasprit Bumrah is the only bowler, in his opinion, who ought to be on the squad.
According to PTI sources, the majority of the team has already been agreed upon, leaving only a few spots up for discussion. There probably won’t be any major surprises, but team managers and selectors still need to make sure Hardik Pandya is well enough to bowl. Regarding KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant’s selection, there have also been rumors.
“Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul are likely to get selected for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 squad as wicketkeepers. Shivam Dube is also likely to get picked in the squad,” a BCCI selection committee source told ANI.
When will India announce T20 World Cup squad?
Chief selector Ajit Agarkar and skipper Rohit Sharma will have an informal discussion in Delhi about who might be in the 15-person team for the T20 World Cup in the Americas, PTI reported on April 27.
The official announcement might happen in Mumbai on May 1, the last day set by the ICC for such announcements.
