The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the dates for mark verification, which will take place following the publication of Class 10 and 12 board results 2024 which are scheduled to be released anytime after May 20. Per the CBSE notification, students may request a mark verification between the 4th and 8th day following the results announcement if they are dissatisfied with their results.

The opportunity for applying to have one’s grades verified will be available for five days. The graded answer book’s scanned photocopy will be accessible starting on the 19th day after the results are announced and ending on the 20th day. Between the 24th and 25th day following the date of the results announcement, the answers sheets will be available for re-evaluation.

It is anticipated that the CBSE board exam results will be released after May 20. The class 10 and 12 board examinations took place in February and April. The Class 12 examinations were held from February 15 to April 2, and the Class 10 board exams were conducted from February 15 to March 13. This year, around 39 lakh students took the CBSE board examinations.

The board also mentioned that every activity has a time limit and is only available online. The board will not accept any requests made after the deadline or in offline mode as doing so violates crucial exam safety protocols. For parents, students, and schools to use these facilities by the directives provided by the CBSE, the timetable has been communicated in advance by the CBSE.

After the results are announced, the specific procedures for requesting Verification of Marks, Obtaining Photocopies of the Evaluated Answer Books, and Re-evaluating the answers for the candidates who took the Board Exams 2024 will be communicated.

Students can check their results by entering their login credentials like roll number and date of birth

  • Select or click the desired link for Class 10 or Class 12 Board results 2024
  • A new window will open; Login using requisite credentials like roll number, DOB
  • Click on submit.
  • CBSE Class 10 or Class 12 results will be displayed on your screen.
  • Download the result and take a printout for future reference.

Students can also access their results through the DigiLocker application. DigiLocker website (digilocker.gov.in) also offers the facility to access CBSE scores.

CBSE result 2024: Minimum Passing grade 

Students need to score a minimum passing mark of 33% in each subject and overall to pass the examinations. To discourage unhealthy competition among students, the CBSE has opted not to publish any merit lists.

The board exams were administered by the CBSE from February 15 to April 2. Exams for Classes 10 and 12 were administered between February 15 and March 13, 2024, and February 15 and April 2, 2024, respectively. Every day, the exams were administered in a single shift that ran from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. In 2024, almost 39 lakh applicants registered for the Class 10 and 12 CBSE Board examinations. Approximately 5.80 lakh pupils took the CBSE board exams 2024 in the nation’s capital, which were held at 877 testing locations.

In 2023, the CBSE Class 10, and 12 board results were declared on May 12, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 was recorded as 93.12%, while for Class 12th, it was 87.33%.
