The primary market has seen a lot of activity, driven by robust liquidity and investor interest in new public issue issues.

Companies raised Rs 62,000 crore through IPOs in fiscal year 2024, and the following fiscal year appears to be no exception.

Looking ahead, forecasts indicate that the market might see offerings worth up to Rs 70,000 crore in FY25, with some well-known names likely to make their Dalal Street debut.

According to Primedatabase.com, 19 firms are awaiting approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) to fund up to Rs 25,000 crore. In addition, 37 more companies have filed documents with Sebi seeking to raise Rs 45,000 crore.

Nine of these companies are new-age technology companies looking to raise around Rs 21,000 crore. This demonstrates a good market trend, as more companies choose to go public.

Experts think that this tendency will continue in the coming fiscal year, with even larger transactions projected. According to Mahavir Lunawat of Pantomath Capital, “There’s a positive sentiment towards fundamentally good businesses along with robust business models.”

Despite the forthcoming general elections, observers expect the market to stay lively.

“The impending elections may result in some short-term volatility, especially closer to the election date. However, Abhishek Jain of Arihant Capital told The Economic Times that the long-term picture appears to be optimistic.

Here are several initial public offerings to keep an eye on:

Bharti Hexacom IPO – Bharti Hexacom, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, plans to raise Rs 4,275 crore through an IPO. It delivers mobile services throughout Rajasthan and the Northeast.

The public issue will be available for subscription beginning April 3 and will consist completely of an offer for sale (OFS), with TCIL selling 7.5 crore shares.

Go Digit Insurance IPO – This insurance company, sponsored by cricket star Virat Kohli, is planning an IPO valued approximately Rs 3600 crore. The IPO includes a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 1,250 crore and the sale of over 11 crore shares, according to the preliminary prospectus.

Ola Electric IPO – Ola Electric has filed preliminary paperwork for an initial public offering, with the goal of raising Rs 5,500 crore in fresh stock.

The company is presently awaiting regulatory approval, and the IPO is slated to launch in the second part of the year.

The public offering will comprise the selling of existing shares by current shareholders, known as an offer for sale (OFS), for a total of 9,51,91,195 shares. Promoter Bhavish Aggarwal intends to sell up to 4,73,94,014 shares through OFS, while Indus Trust, another member of the promoter group, proposes to sell up to 41,78,996 shares.

Brainbees Solutions IPO – Brainbees Solutions, which sells childcare goods under the brand name FirstCry, is preparing an IPO with new shares worth up to Rs 1,816 crore and a sale of up to 5.4 crore existing shares.

Waaree Energies IPO – Waaree Energies has submitted draft documents in preparation for an initial public offering. This IPO would consist of new shares worth Rs 3,000 crore and the sale of 32 lakh existing shares.

Waaree Energies is India’s top maker of solar PV modules, having 12 GW of installed capacity as of June 2023.

Tata Electric IPO – Tata Group is considering listing its electric car company on the stock market, which may happen within the next one to two years. If all goes as planned, the IPO might occur at the end of FY25.

Swiggy IPO – Swiggy is also considering going public later this year, according to many sources. According to Entrackr, they may submit their paperwork in May with the goal of launching the IPO during the holiday season.

Other notable firms expected to go public next fiscal year include Allied Blenders, Mobikwik, PayU, Garuda Aerospace, and NTPC Green, among others.

Apple has just announced the dates of its much anticipated event, WWDC 2024. The event will begin from June 10 and Apple is expected to make some exciting announcements this year.

Apple has confirmed the date for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which will take place this year on June 10. It will be a four-day event that will end on June 14, and some interesting announcements from the Cupertino-based tech giant appear to be in the works.

In a press statement, Apple stated that the event will take place online from June 10 to 14, 2024. On launch day, developers and students will be able to celebrate in person at a special event held in Apple Park.

The first day, June 10, will feature an in-person event where participants will be able to see the event’s keynote at Apple Park. They can also meet the team, take part in activities, and more.

Regarding what we can expect from the presentation, we are all aware that Apple has been working on generative AI for quite some time. CEO Tim Cook has also spoken about Apple’s aspirations for generative AI on multiple occasions. The company has been hiring for many generative AI positions and recently bought a startup, DarwinAI, to help accelerate its growth in the field. With so much going on in the generative AI sector, it’s safe to presume Apple will discuss AI for the first time at the event. However, this is only an assumption and should be taken with a grain of salt because Apple has not officially announced anything on the subject.

Aside from that, Apple is likely to release updated iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS updates, and the most recent macOS version for its devices.

Daniel Balaji, a famous actor, has passed away!

Actor Daniel Balaji, who was most renowned for his parts in the films Vada Chennai, Kaakha Kaakha, Polladhavan, Vettaiyadu Vilayaadu, and Chitthi, died on Friday.

Daniel Balaji, a Tamil actor, died on Friday at a private hospital in Chennai after cardiac arrest. 48 was his age.

Daniel passed away, reportedly, in a Kottivakam hospital where he was taken for chest problems.

Daniel Balaji started his career in television, where he starred in the series Chitthi and received great praise. Later on, he starred in more than 40 movies, such as Vada Chennai, Polladhavan, Vettaiyadu Vilayaadu, and Kaakha Kaakha. The actor has appeared in Malayalam and Telugu films as well.

On Saturday, Daniel’s funeral will take place in Purasaiwalkam.

The actor reported suffering from chest issues on Friday and was taken to the hospital instantly. Following the death, his remains were brought to his Purasaiwalkam home for the last formalities. Both his followers and the Tamil film industry were taken aback by his passing.

Playground Season 3 Episode 15 Highlights

As I mentioned earlier, Elvish added his touch of entertainment to the show. After making an entry in Red Porsche, he uploaded a video on YouTube with the title “Red Porsche me Playground ka Systumm Hang.”

As soon as he entered the house he started reviewing the performance and activities of the contestants, especially Chirag, Ishu, Nishu & Tanu Rawat. But among them, Chirag a.k.a Pingu & Tanu were caught in hotwaters. He straight-forwardly went out asking Chirag about his thoughts on Tanu. As a result of Chirag’s flirty nature, Elvish assigned them tasks that they would stay together all the time, with their hands tied to each other the whole time.

Further, he assigned them tasks like doing different yoga stances and making alphabet letters without untying their hands.

Whoa! That was indeed fun watching them tangled. Having said that, how can we forget how much Elvish loves backbiting the house by the contestants? Well, this time Chill Gamer was called in to do this heavy task. I think he righteously mentioned when asked about the possible match-making in the house. He mentioned about Chirag-Nishu and also, Chirag-Tanu. So once again Chirag was caught in hot waters.

Well, all the fun activities by Elvish Yadav concluded with Chirag-Tanu and all the other contestants dancing together.

In another heart-warming scene, Valence couldn’t control his tears when he was thinking about his meeting his Mother & remembered his father. In another similar scene, Chill Gamer a.k.a Ahmed spits out his loneliness in front of the camera.

Episode 15 Brings Interesting Wild Card Entries.

In the 1st wild card entry, Arushi from Himachal(currently living in Delhi) & Gaurav got favored by the mentors to be back in the house. Arushi got entry into Dare Dragons and Gaurav a.k.a BT Android got entry into Raging Centaurs. While talking to Elvish Yadav, they made out clear that this time they are very much focused and cautious. Even Arushi & Gaurav boldly targeted Abhinav, Himanshu & Tanu as the dumbest contestants in Playground Season 3.

Talking about 2nd wild card entry, Sway Gamer got her luck shining out. Like other wild card entrants, Sway also made clear that this time she is not going to play by heart but use her mind for every step she is going to take. She looked pretty disappointed by the previous behavior of her friends. Well, I believe including Sway was a good decision as she is good at gaming. She also represented India in eSports.

Game Battle of Playground Season 3 Episode 15

In this episode, viewers got to enjoy the contestants’ gameplay in a racing game, Asphalt! The Format of Episode 15 is given as follows,

  • 2 players from each team will participate in the format 2v2. However, there’s a little change. Matches will be played in 1v1 format with no player playing back-to-back matches.
  • The Top 2 teams will proceed to the day’s Finale, where they will play 4 races.
  • In 4 races, 2 will be played in 1v1 format while 2 races will be played in 2v2 format.
  • The team, as usual, with the highest score will be the winner.

Finalists of the Day were OP Unicorns & Dare Dragons. While Carry Minati’s Dare Dragons were able to get the trophy for the day, OP Unicorns also performed well. And, KO Krakens unfortunately got the wooden spoon once again. The wild card entrants, Gaurav & Sway played decently despite hopes that they would rock during their gaming performance. Having said that, Elvish Yadav was disappointed by the performance of his team.
