During their ongoing operation to seize firearms thought to be connected to the gunfire incident outside Salman Khan’s apartment, the Mumbai police’s crime branch has made important discoveries, according to PTI.

An official told the wire service on April 23 that two pistols, three magazines, and thirteen rounds had been found during search operations in Gujarat’s Tapi River.

The search is still ongoing at the location with a committed team of 12 officials, led by senior police inspector Daya Nayak, dubbed the “encounter specialist”. The official also mentioned that scuba divers’ assistance is being used.

Arrested Suspects and Recovery Details

It was stated that the two suspects, Vicky Gupta (24), and Sagar Pal (21), who were detained about the shooting incident outside Galaxy Apartment on April 14, had taken off on a motorcycle. They were then taken into custody on April 16 in Mata No Madh, close to Bhuj town, Gujarat, as a result of a coordinated effort by the police departments in Mumbai and Kutch.

The suspects admitted under questioning that they had fled Mumbai and dumped the guns into the Tapi River from a railway bridge on their way to Bhuj.

Police sources indicate that instigating “terror” appears to have been the two people’s main motivation for the shooting.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi have been designated as “wanted accused” by Mumbai police in relation to the crime. Gupta and Pal are said to have been operating at the Bishnoi brothers’ direction.

While Lawrence is currently incarcerated at Sabarmati Central Prison in Gujarat for another case, his brother Anmol is believed to be residing in either Canada or the United States, as per official statements.
