The RR spinner bagged a solitary wicket and leaked 48 runs against MI at Jaipur. Chahal was roped in by Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2011. The spinner made his debut in the 2013 season of the T20 tournament. Chahal picked up 139 wickets for RCB between 2014 to 2021. Released by RCB ahead of the IPL 2022 season, former champions RR signed Chahal for INR 6.5 crore at the auction. Chahal picked up 27 wickets for RR in the 2022 season.
