The Great Indian Kapil Show 5th episode first impression: Aamir Khan untold stories rescue audience from Kapil Sharma dull humour

An ideal combination of Aamir Khan openness and Kapil Sharma skillful questioning produced the most recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. The authors of the show, who found it difficult to provide witty banter even in the short interludes, were the biggest disappointment, though.

Half the battle of entertaining the audience is won when Kapil Sharma and his team receive a guest who is eager to give it all. Viewers are captivated by the attraction of learning first-hand, never-before-heard tales about the personal and professional lives of Bollywood celebrities. The thrill is multiplied when that superstar turns out to be Aamir Khan, who is infamous for dodging interviews.

Aamir Khan (Indian Actor & Film Producer) Biography

It was clear from the beginning that Aamir came on The Great Indian Kapil Show as a grateful fan. He related how Comedy Nights With Kapil, his former sketch comedy program, provided humor and support for him throughout a difficult two-year period when he struggled with depression. Aamir acknowledged that he made his first appearance on Kapil’s show in the previous eleven years because of his favorable experience with the previous show.

Sakshi MS Dhoni-starring post during CSK vs SRH: ‘Baby is on the way. Please finish the game…’

For the last episode, Aamir’s candor and Kapil’s skillful interviewing were a match made in heaven. The actor arrived on the show with his two sisters, Nikhat and Farhat Khan, whose teasing suggested the dynamics of Aamir’s family. In addition, he related stories of his family and childhood, how he overcame his father’s rage to pursue acting, and how funny it was that his children didn’t seem to care much about him despite his prominence in the business. It was interesting to hear Aamir handle common issues that most of us can identify with.

Aamir Khan’s affection for Kapil Sharma and his team was palpable throughout the show, resulting in various heartwarming moments. While he might have felt shy and looked away to avoid clingy, cheesy jokes, he was never uncomfortable. In one segment, Kapil even admitted, “Humse aisi bachkaand baatein karwate hain itne bade logon se, but hamari janta hi yahi hai (We indulge celebrities in such nonsense talk, but that’s our audience).”

However, the major disappointment from the new episode came from Kapil Sharma and his team of writers. While the episode ran for over an hour, major chunks were dedicated to Aamir’s captivating stories, and rightfully so. But the show’s team failed to deliver sharp humour even in the brief intervals they had to break the monotony of the interview. Most jokes were routine and lacked the spontaneity that audiences expect from Kapil’s shows.

Kiku Sharda’s Chef Dhanyia Lal, Krushna Abhishek’s Mona, and Sunil Grover’s Engineer Chambuk Mittal relied on tired humor, failing to make an impact. Even the sketch comedy segment featuring Sunil, Kiku, and Rajeev Thakur in various Aamir Khan characters, was a lost opportunity.

Amid the falling viewership of The Great Indian Kapil Show, the passive approach towards the show’s writing is concerning. Episodes like this one are rare phenomena as celebrity guests won’t always be willing to bare their souls like Aamir. Case in point, the second episode, which featured cricketers Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma. Therefore, the makers have to ensure their sketch comedy segments are strong enough to lure the audience, irrespective of the celebrities’ ability to attract viewers. Consider the third episode featuring the Chamkila star cast. Despite being the shortest of all episodes, the brilliance of the sketch comedy writing seen in that episode remains unmatched.

The Great Indian Kapil Show: Kapil Sharma’s stunning Netflix comeback is falling in the world rankings due to declining viewership

The Great Indian Kapil Show has aired four episodes so far on Netflix, but viewership doesn’t seem to be increasing at an expected rate.

Based on Netflix’s own data, The Great Indian Kapil Show’s viewership is declining after four episodes and one month. With the long-awaited return of presenter Kapil Sharma and colleague Sunil Grover serving as the hook, the show was heavily marketed for several months in an effort to grow the streamer’s fan base in India. However, viewership seems to be plummeting following a lavish debut and a guest list that has so far featured celebrities like Vicky Kaushal, Diljit Dosanjh, Rohit Sharma, and Ranbir Kapoor.

The first episode, which starred Ranbir, his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and mother Neetu Kapoor, drew 2.4 million viewer hours, according to Netflix’s regularly updated Global Top 10 list. The episode received 2.5 million views in total and concluded the week at number three. With the publication of an additional episode, the show’s total number of viewer hours by the conclusion of the second week was 4.6 million. However, there were 2.6 million views overall. Even though there were 200,000 additional viewers, there are now two episodes available. In the second week, the show dropped to number five. While total viewership hours may vary because not every audience member is watching an episode through to the end, total views indicate the number of people who have watched an episode up until the moment that Netflix deems a single “view.”

The Great Indian Kapil Show dropped to number seven in the rankings after the conclusion of the third week. For the week, there were 4.1 million total hours of viewing and 1.7 million total views. Remember that viewers now have three episodes to choose from. By the conclusion of its first month, the show had only 1.2 million total views and had dropped to the eighth rank with 3.9 million total weekly viewer hours. Again, compared to the 57 minutes of video provided in week one, viewers now have access to over three hours of content in total.

Kapil has already worked on other Netflix projects. He made his stage debut in Kapil Sharma: I’m Not Done Yet, a stand-up special, in 2022. Over its one-hour run, the program was unable to get into the global top 10. In contrast, the first season of Maamla Legal Hai had 1.1 million total views and 4.8 million hours of viewing when it began. In the second week, it gained one position and received 2 million views in addition to 8.5 million viewer hours.

Children turn away from Amir
During the promo’s first scene, Kapil shows off multiple awards on stage and claims that Aamir Khan is the owner of them all. The audience in the studio greets Aamir with warmth, and he moves between couches to settle in. On the show, Aamir bemoans the fact that his children don’t listen to him. He claimed that there was a protracted debate on his outfit for the show at the house. His children forced him wear pants, even though he preferred to arrive in shorts.

Aamir also talked about the failures of Thugs of Hindostan and Laal Singh Chaddha in his previous two films. Kapil reassured him that even his “bad” movies bring in a lot of money. When asked why he doesn’t attend award presentations, “Permanent Guest” Archana Puran Singh responded, “Time is very precious; one must utilise it well.”

Crew movie review: The Three Bashing Ladies Set To Rock The Bollywood!

Crew movie review: Kriti Sanon keeps up with Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who effortlessly walk the fine line between need and greed, while Tabu is chaotic in her elder woman persona.

Three ladies, maneuvering through turbulent seas, diving, jiving, and shucking with grace, all the while maintaining their swift footedness AND enjoying themselves—and ensuring that we do, too—can you imagine? Now take all of my money.

Karisma Sanon’s Divya Rana, Geeta Sethi (Tabu), and Jasmine Bajwa (Kareena Kapoor Khan) are among the crew members of Kohinoor Airlines, a barely disguised version of the now-defunct real-life Kingfisher Airlines, whose chairman (Saswata Chatterjee) is an even more subtly disguised version of the ‘bhagoda’ billionaire Vijay Mallya. The writers of the movie, Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri, don’t really care to hide anything; they just label their character, Vijay Walia, who runs away and files for bankruptcy, leaving thousands of workers in the dark.

A variety of personalities appear as and when needed, as befits a caper-cum-heist. That also applies to guys who politely trail behind, allowing women to walk ahead. The goal of home cook Arun Sethi (Kapil Sharma) is to open his own restaurant in Goa. Jasmine is a girl who never stops wanting more. She obsesses over things like the Beemer and the LV bag, even while her adored grandfather (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) babbles on about what really matters. Additionally, Jaiveer (Diljit Dosanjh), the enamored customs officer, refers to her as “Divya Rana from Haryana,” despite the fact that she is a phony. Dosanjh, with his distinct grounded sexiness, and Sharma, who has demonstrated that he can be a good actor, are both true assets since they understand their roles.

Our trio dives straight in when it comes to gold-barreled bags and completely illegal activities in the posh Al Burj, which feels like a stand-in for splashy Dubai (why not simply name it that, or is even that not allowed anymore?). Naturally, they will eventually run afoul of the long arm of the law. Now what? Is jail not bail?

The writers avoid allowing viewers to linger on the many plot twists and easy-to-fall-through loops that the characters are forced to go through by keeping everything fast-paced, sharp, and, at times, sitcom-like. The sentimental scenes that give the movie its emotional core are not overdone: an air hostess (Pooja Bhamrrah), assisted by his complicit right hand man (Rajesh Sharma), has to deal with the humiliation of her child being expelled from school after losing all hope of receiving her outstanding money from the fugitive Mallya, oops Walia.

For the love of all things sacred, though, why are there so many obnoxious product placements? You want to scream because they make everything look clumsy and artificial, especially in a movie where everything is going so well. Very unfortunate; please, manufacturers, don’t. What a waste of that outrageous classic, too: the “choli ke peeche” reprise is boring.

Thankfully, our women come to the rescue: Sanon is elevated and able to hold her own in their company. Tabu, who is so at ease in her older lady avatar as the most senior member of the group, and Khan, who effortlessly walks the fine line between greed and need, are a riot. These actors exude a lived-in quality, as though they have actually completed dozens of flights together. They are the kind of women our movies need more of—butterflies and bantering, speaking their minds without fear, fully owning their age (cue “layers of foundation not hiding the years” jokes), as well as their bawdiness and vulnerabilities.

The most fun I’ve had at the movies lately, net net, is watching these three air hostesses with the mostest in a lighthearted comedy with lots of self-aware laughs sprinkled throughout. Exactly what I needed to chase away the depressing clouds of the last several bad Bollywood films.

Cast of the crew movie: Tabu, Rajesh Sharma, Saswata Chatterjee, Kapil Sharma, Pooja Bhambrrah, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh,

About ‘Crew Movie’

The next movie appears to be a thriller about a heist. In addition to Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh and actor Kapil Sharma are also featured in the film.

The film Crew, directed by Rajesh Krishnan, is said to be set against the backdrop of the aviation industry’s struggles.

Tabu, Kareena, and Kriti are playing “bad**” air hostesses in the movie. The trio has tried to draw attention with everything from robbing peanut boxes intended for passengers’ airplanes to plotting to make a lot of money and up the glam factor.

Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, who rejoined for their 2018 film Veere Di Wedding, are co-producing the film. Along with Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, and Shikha Talsania, Kareena was also featured.

Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon have been posting a lot of behind-the-scenes photos of their friendship on social media in the lead-up to the release of Crew.

Kareena shared a fun behind-the-scenes video on Instagram on Thursday, providing fans with a peek into her time spent having fun on the “Crew” sets.

The video provides an inside glimpse at the ‘Jab We Met’ actress’s experience on set as it features her having fun with co-stars Tabu and Kriti Sanon, filming her role as an air hostess, and getting ready for her several appearances.

“We laughed, we cried, we fought, we argued, we ate, and somewhere in between, the magic called moviemaking happened… with the best CREW ever,” the woman wrote as the description for the photo.

The movie was originally scheduled for release on March 22, but the producers chose to postpone it until March 29.
