Marcus Stoinis

Marcus Stoinis, from one MS to another, follows Dhoni’s lead to smash the record against CSK:In major games, he said…”

In the end, Australia’s Marcus Stoinis emerged victorious on Tuesday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, where over 400 runs were scored. When Stoinis delivered his first IPL century, stifling the packed Chepauk with his counterattacking blow, KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants prevailed in the high-scoring thriller against the Chennai Super Kings. In the 39th match of the 2024 Indian Premier League, Stoinis ended the game with a flourish reminiscent of MS Dhoni, hitting a six-wicket victory over the defending champions.

The Lucknow Super Giants claimed that another “MS” produced an incredible finish to the game at Chepauk in response to Stoinis’ valiant efforts following LSG’s thrilling victory over CSK. LSG used social media to post a video of Stoinis praising Australian all-around player Dhoni, further enhancing their praise. Stoinis talked about Dhoni’s belief of winning important games by run-chases when he introduced the former captain of CSK to the media.

“MS Dhoni told me this one thing,”

The player said to me. He said, “Everyone thinks I have to do something extra during big games.” I need to take a different approach. His catchphrase and inner monologue consist of staying still, being motionless, and believing that everyone else will eventually change. Remembering this, Stoinis said, “I’m going to be the only one here that doesn’t change, and that holds him ahead of everyone else.”

KL Rahul’s LSG at the Chepauk was reduced to 88-3 in 10.6 overs while chasing a massive 210. Stoinis silenced Chepauk and took the CSK bowlers to task with his first-ever century in the IPL. With his one-man show, Stoinis broke multiple records. At 124 off 63 balls, the LSG hitter was still unbeaten. Stoinis delivered the game-winning blow with a strike rate of over 196, hitting six sixes and thirteen fours. During the Indian Premier League match against CSK, the Australian batter had the highest individual score.
