Today’s stock market: SpiceJet share price today opened upside and went on to touch an intraday high of ₹71.90 apiece on NSE

Stock market today: Amid the bull trend in the Indian stock market, SpiceJet shares witnessed strong buying interest during Friday deals. SpiceJet share price today opened upside and went on to touch an intraday high of ₹71.90 apiece, logging around 13 percent intraday rise against its Thursday close of ₹63.63 apiece on NSE. While climbing to the intraday high, the aviation company’s stock came close to its existing 52-week high of ₹77.50 that it had achieved on 5th February 2024.

According to stock market experts, the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has released the January 2024 data in which it has reported that the low-cost carrier has managed to hold on to its market share in January 2024.

The DGCA data shows that SpiceJet has managed to hold on to its market share at 5.6 percent in January 2024. The DGCA data also reported that passenger traffic surged by 4.7 percent in January 2024.

DGCA data in focus

Speaking on the reason for the rise in SpiceJet shares, Avinash Gorakshkar, Head of Research at Profitmart Securities said, “The aviation stock is rising after the release of DGCA January data. In this data, SpiceJet has been reported holding on to its market share of 5.6 percent and the market is expecting benefits for the listing aviation company after DGCA reports a 4.7 percent rise in the number of flight passengers in January 2024.”

Gorakshkar said that the trigger is for the short term, and profit-booking on higher levels may trigger if there is no rebound after the current retracement from intraday’s high.

SpiceJet share price target

On the outlook of SpiceJet shares, Sumeet Bagadia, Executive Director at Choice Broking said, “SpiceJet shares are currently trading in the ₹60 to ₹75 per share range. the aviation stock may become highly bullish on breaching the upper hurdle of the current range whereas it may go further down if it breaches the lower support of its current range. “The accounts of the Congress party have also been seized. Income tax asked for Rs 210 crore recovery from Youth Congress and Congress party. The crowdfunding money in our accounts has been frozen. Just two weeks before elections, when the Opposition’s accounts are frozen, it is equivalent to freezing the democracy,” Maken said

Recently, The State Bank of India has been ordered to cease issuing electoral bonds “immediately” after the Supreme Court declared them to be “unconstitutional.” The supreme court’s decision was made months before the Lok Sabha elections. As part of efforts to increase transparency in political funding, the government announced the scheme on January 2, 2018, and it was positioned as an alternative to cash donations made to political parties. Using electoral bonds, the Congress made ₹171 crore as opposed to ₹236 crore in 2021–2022.

Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said the meeting will with ministers Arjun Munda, Piyush Goyal and Nityanand Rai will take place at 5 pm Thursday.

It will be the third round of meetings between the farmer leaders and the Centre in Chandigarh after farm organisations announced their plan to march to Delhi. The two earlier meetings, held before the march began, remained inconclusive.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha are spearheading the ‘Delhi Chalo’ agitation to put pressure on the Centre for their demands, including a law on MSP, loan waivers and implementation of the Swaminathan Commission recommendations.

“We are with you. Don’t worry,” Gandhi told the farmer in the conversation brought about by Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.

“You are fighting for what is important for the country. You earlier worked for the country and you are doing it now as well. ‘Shabash’ (Well done). Best of luck,” Gandhi told the farmer, while slamming the Narendra Modi government’s “dictatorial attitude”.

The much awaited ‘Ahlan Modi’ community event, which was scheduled to feature Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, has been significantly scaled back due to unfavourable weather in the UAE, according to a news agency PTI report quoting an official involved in the preparations. The decision to postpone the ‘Ahlan Modi’ (Welcome Modi in Arabic) event was made due to unfavourable weather conditions that included heavy rain and lightning strikes throughout the UAE overnight.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 13–14, 2024. As of this Saturday, the Ministry of External Affairs announced that PM Modi will have made seven trips to the UAE since 2015, including three in the last eight months.

Elon Musk Announces Neuralink’s Successful brain implant procedure in first human recipient!

Neuralink was given clearance by the US Food and Drug Administration last year to conduct its first trial to test its implant on humans!

Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of Neuralink, announced on Monday that the first human recipient of an implant from the brain-chip startup underwent the procedure on Sunday and is recovering well.

Taking to social media, X, Musk posted, “The first human received an implant from @Neuralink yesterday and is recovering well.

Neuralink was given clearance by the US Food and Drug Administration last year to conduct its first trial to test its implant on humans. “Initial results show promising neuron spike detection,” Musk’s post added.

According to Neuralink’s website, it has received approval from the independent institutional review board. The PRIME Study (short for Precise Robotically Implanted Brain-Computer Interface) – an investigational medical device trial for fully-implantable, wireless brain-computer interface (BCI) – aims to evaluate the safety of our implant (N1) and surgical robot (R1) and assess the initial functionality of our BCI for enabling people with paralysis to control external devices with their thoughts, according to the company’s website.

During the study, the R1 Robot will be used to surgically place the N1 Implant’s ultra-fine and flexible threads in a region of the brain that controls movement intention. Once in place, the N1 Implant is cosmetically invisible and is intended to record and transmit brain signals wirelessly to an app that decodes movement intention.

The initial goal of our BCI is to grant people the ability to control a computer cursor or keyboard using their thoughts alone, it also said.

The PRIME Study is being conducted under the investigational device exemption (IDE) awarded by the FDA in May 2023 and represents an important step in our mission to create a generalised brain interface to restore autonomy to those with unmet medical needs, it added.

Musk and his company have already faced massive criticism for the trial of “brain chips” on lab animals. In February 2022, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine submitted a complaint alleging that Neuralink did “invasive and deadly brain experiments.”

By December of that year, the company was being investigated by federal authorities for potential violations of animal welfare standards, with documents indicating that the company had murdered around 1,500 animals, including rats, monkeys, pigs, and mice, since 2018.

Neuralink fought back against these very serious allegations claiming that the rhesus macaque monkeys under its care were “respected and honoured” by the team.
