In his first visit to Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370, the Prime Minister will also attend the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir’ programme at the stadium in Srinagar.

According to an official statement, PM Narendra Modi will launch nationwide projects related to the tourism sector worth more than Rs 1,400 crore under the ‘Swadesh Darshan’ and ‘PRASHAD’ (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive) schemes, including a project for the integrated development of the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar.

In a step that will provide a major boost to the agri-economy of the region under the ‘Holistic Agriculture Development Programme’ (HADP) to be launched by the Prime Minister, the statement said, it will cover the full spectrum of activities in three major domains of horticulture, agriculture and livestock husbandry.

The programme is expected to equip about 2.5 lakh farmers with skill-development training and about 2,000 farmers’ service centres will be established and robust value chains put in place for the welfare of the farming community.

The tourism projects to be launched by PM Modi are in line with his vision to improve the overall experience of tourists and pilgrims visiting prominent pilgrimage and tourism sites across the country by building world-class infrastructure and amenities at these sites, the statement said.

With more than three crore overseas Indians, the Indian diaspora can serve as a powerful catalyst for Indian tourism, acting as cultural ambassadors,” the statement said.

STRICT SECURITY IN PLACE

Meanwhile, stringent security arrangements have been put in place, and the Bakshi Stadium, the venue of the prime minister’s rally, has been draped in tricolour, news agency PTI reported.

With the Lok Sabha elections around the corner and opposition parties seeking an announcement on assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister’s scheduled visit has acquired a keen political dimension in terms of what he might have to say on the issue.

In Srinagar, several schools falling along the route to be taken by the Prime Minister were ordered closed for Wednesday and Thursday, while board examinations scheduled to be held on Thursday were postponed till next month.

Drones and CCTV cameras are being used for surveillance while foot patrolling by the security forces has been intensified in a two-kilometre radius around the venue.

Marine commandos have been deployed in the Jhelum River and Dal Lake to prevent the use of these water bodies for any subversive activities.

The BJP-led Centre abrogated the provisions of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, and bifurcated the erstwhile state into the Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Check out the entire program for PM Modi’s massive event in the UAE prior to the opening of the country’s first Hindu temple!

 PM Modi mega event

The much awaited ‘Ahlan Modi’ community event, which was scheduled to feature Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, has been significantly scaled back due to unfavourable weather in the UAE, according to a news agency PTI report quoting an official involved in the preparations. The decision to postpone the ‘Ahlan Modi’ (Welcome Modi in Arabic) event was made due to unfavourable weather conditions that included heavy rain and lightning strikes throughout the UAE overnight.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 13–14, 2024. As of this Saturday, the Ministry of External Affairs announced that PM Modi will have made seven trips to the UAE since 2015, including three in the last eight months.

On February 14, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi during his two-day visit. “One of the most important aspects of PM Modi’s visit to the UAE is the inauguration ceremony of the BAPS temple,” Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra stated on Monday. In addition, at a gathering in Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Sports City, the Prime Minister will speak to the Indian community living there.

PM Modi and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, will meet one-on-one. The two leaders will talk about how to further develop, broaden, and fortify their strategic alliance and share their opinions on regional and global matters of shared concern. Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s vice president, prime minister, and minister of defence, will meet with PM Modi.

On February 13, he is also expected to speak to the Indian community in the United Arab Emirates at an event held at Zayed Sports City. Over 65,000 people have registered for the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event in Abu Dhabi, according to news agency ANI, indicating an unprecedented level of interest. Unfortunately, the event was cancelled because of the bad weather. Presently, the event is expected to draw between 35,000 and 40,000 people, including those who are presenting cultural programmes.

Later, on February 14, he will officially open the BAPS Mandir, Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple. The BAPS Hindu Mandir is expected to be the first traditional Hindu stone temple in the Middle East. The leadership of the UAE kindly donated the 27 acres of land on which the temple is located. In 2015, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, donated 13.5 acres of land for the construction of the mandir.

On February 14, PM Narendra Modi will depart from his two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates and head to the capital city of Doha, Qatar. The news of PM Modi’s trip to Qatar was made public one day after the Gulf state freed eight Indian naval personnel who had been imprisoned. On Monday morning, seven of them left for India.

PM Modi to reply on ‘Motion of Thanks’ in Rajya Sabha today!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address in Rajya Sabha today, February 7.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address in Rajya Sabha today, February 7. He replied to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address in Lok Sabha on Monday. President Droupadi Murmu addressed the joint sitting on January 31, the first day of the budget session.

During his speech, he said that the third term of his government is not far and this time the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win 400 seats, and the Bharatiya Janata Party, individually will get 370 seats.

He said the work done by the government in its current term gave him confidence that in the third term of the NDA, India will become the world’s third-largest economy, up from its fifth position now.

“This is Modi’s guarantee,” he told legislators, citing the speed of work in the country that gave him confidence this target would be reached within the next five-year term if the NDA wins the national election.

PM Modi said that in the interim budget for 2014, the then finance minister had said India had become the world’s eleventh-largest economy and over the next three decades would become the third-largest economy.

“This meant that India would become the third-largest economy only by 2044. We are confident of achieving this feat in the government’s third term itself,” Modi said.

“Our third term will be full of big decisions…I had said from the Red Fort and also reiterated at the time of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha that I want to see the country prosperous and at the pinnacle of success for the next thousand years. The third term will be the time to lay a strong foundation for the next 1,000 years,” Modi said.

The Budget Session, which began on January 31, will be spread over eight sittings spread over 10 days and may conclude on February 9.

Here’s your comprehensive 3-minute summary of all the things Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in her Budget speech.

“It took PM Modi’s leadership to lift 25 crore Indians from poverty”: Union Minister Chandrasekhar takes jibe at Congress’ ‘Garibi Hatao’

Garibi Hatao

New Delhi [India], January 16 (ANI): Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar hit out at the Congress government for their empty slogans on ‘Garibi Hatao’ saying that it has taken the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lift 25 crore Indians out of poverty.
“After 65 years of empty slogans of ‘Garibi Hatao’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi through his focused, hardworking, determined, corruption-free governance and ‘Garib Kalyan’ policies, has lifted 25 crore Indians out of poverty,” Chandrasekhar said at a press conference in New Delhi.
The Union Minister took a veiled dig at Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government had to put in efforts to reverse the “anyay” (injustice) inflicted by the Congress on Indians for decades.
“It has taken Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government to reverse the Anyay (injustice) that Congress has played on Indians for several decades. It is Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has lifted them out of poverty,” he said.
The minister said said that the country has risen from no start-ups in 2014, to an ecosystem which has grown to be the fastest growing in the world and the third-largest in the world.
“Today is National Start Up Day, another segment which has gone through deep decisive transformation. From almost no start ups in 2014, from almost co-capital available for young startups, 97 per cent of the Indian banking network had been cornered by nine groups during the Congress to now an ecosystem which is the fastest growing in the world, the third largest in the world and is poised to go from one lakh startups and 110 unicorns to 10,000 unicorns,” Chandrasekhar said.
On the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, the Union Minister said, “The day that Lord Ram Lalla’s puja commences is a holy day, an important day for crores of Indians who believe and for whom faith is important.”

Preparations are underway in full swing for the ceremony, which is expected to be attended by thousands of dignitaries and people from all sections of society including Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22. The formal procedures for pre-Praan Pratishtha sacraments began today and will continue until January 21.
