Devotees celebrated with enthusiasm the historical moment of the ‘Pran Pratishthan’ ceremony on Monday.
Taking to social media platform X, the Uttar Pradesh CM shared the pictures and wrote, “Ram-Ram to everyone! May the blessings of Lord Shri Ram be upon all of you.”

Following the ceremony, Big B and Abhishek, who had arrived in Ayodhya on Monday were seen meeting with Yogi Adityanath.

PM Modi, who led the rituals during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla at his majestic abode in Ayodhya, was seen greeting the ‘Big B’ with folded hands which the actor returning the gesture.

Confirming the development, Shanti Bhushan Choubey, the registrar of Ayodhya Registrar told ANI earlier, “As part of the same agreement, two documents have been presented…it is a 10,000 square feet plot for which a transaction of Rs 9 crore has been done. The second party, who happens to be Amitabh Bachchan, gave his agreement to the purchase while his attorney, Rajesh Yadav, executed it.”
Besides Big and Abhishek, several other A-listers and who’s who of the Indian film and entertainment industry, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Madhuri Dixit, Subhash Ghai and Sonu Nigam were in attendance at the Pran Patishtha ceremony.
The event saw the participation of about 8,000 invitees, including 1,500-1,600 eminent guests.

As the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony unfolded, army choppers were pictured showering petals on the temple.
PM Modi also showered petals on workers, who were a part of the construction team that shaped the grand Ramn Temple.
He was also seen sprinkling flowers on the idol of Jatayu at the Ram Temple premises and also offered prayers to Lord Shiva in Ayodhya Dham.
The Ram Lalla idol was unvieled during the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’, which involved hour- long rituals led by Prime Minister Modi.

The Central Government announced on Thursday that all its offices will be closed for half a day on January 22!

The Pran Prathistha ceremony will be held on Monday in the temple town of Ayodhya amid tight security. The historic ritual of ‘Pran Pratistha’ of Ram Lalla will take place in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saints, and a host of distinguished guests.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust announced on Sunday that the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony will be marked by a dazzling musical event titled ‘Mangal Dhwani’. The soiree, featuring some of the biggest names in the world of music, will be staged at 10 am.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla at Ayodhya Temple will be held at 12:30 pm. Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh has been decked up with posters and flags of Lord Ram while cities across the country have been decorated with lights, huge cutouts of Lord Ram and posters bearing religious slogans related to Lord Ram.

The Central Government announced on Thursday that all its offices will be closed for half a day on January 22.

Many states have announced a holiday for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony. Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Tripura, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are among them. In Delhi, LG VK Saxena on Saturday approved the closure of government offices and educational institutions for half day till 2:30 PM on January 22.

The Uttar Pradesh government has tightened security in the city by setting up a dial 112 monitoring centre at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. Uttar Pradesh Police Department authorities said on Sunday that over 13 thousand security personnel have been deployed in and around Ayodhya to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the mega temple event.

Speaking to ANI, Special DG Prashant Kumar said, “This is a significant undertaking for the UP Police. It poses both a challenge and an opportunity. Extensive security arrangements have been put in place, including traffic diversions from surrounding districts. Only authorised vehicles are permitted to enter Ayodhya starting tomorrow.”

Besides, elaborate seating arrangements have been made for invitees. There will be a sector-wise deployment of officials and personnel overseeing the security and arrangements.

The entire district is equipped with around 10,000 CCTV cameras, and coordination with central and state agencies has been established, the special DG said.

According to officials, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has set up a camp near the shrine in Ayodhya to respond to contingencies, if any. Anti-bomb squad and dog squad teams were also deployed at Ayodhya’s Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, as devotees and dignitaries started pouring into the temple town.

People of the Hindu community across the globe are gearing up for grand celebrations, showcasing their unbridled enthusiasm and reverence for this historic occasion.

Earlier, on Thursday, January 18, the idol of Shri Ram Lalla, carved by renowned Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Covered with a veil, the first photo of the idol was revealed during the placement ceremony in the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday.

The Lord Ram idol was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple on Thursday during the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. During the ritual, the first image of the idol was revealed, concealed by a veil.

Sculpted by Karnataka-based Arun Yogiraj, the ‘Ram Lalla’ idol is 1.5 tonnes in weight and 51 inches tall. In the picture, Lord Ram is seen as a five-year-old boy standing on a lotus formed of the same stone.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals will be conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while a group of priests under the direction of Lakshmikant Dixit will monitor the proceedings. Several famous people and celebrities have also received invitations.

In the coming months, industry insiders predict a steady rise in job opportunities due to the expected daily influx of thousands of devotees.

The Ram Mandir will turn Ayodhya into a major worldwide tourism destination, according to Yeshab Giri, Chief Commercial Officer at Randstad India, who spoke with ET. He anticipates 3–4 lakh visitors per day.

The demand for lodging and travel services has surged as a result of the increase in tourists, and this has caused the hospitality industry in Ayodhya to grow significantly.

Giri projects that 20,000–25,000 permanent and temporary jobs will be created in the interim, with an annual increase in employment.

Vice President at TeamLease Balasubramanian A told the business daily that 20,000 to 30,000 new jobs in the hospitality, travel, and tourism industry have been created in the last six months alone. These jobs include drivers, cooks, waiters, and hotel employees.

Thousands of new jobs in hospitality management, restaurant and hotel staff, logistics managers, and driver positions are expected as the temple’s inauguration draws near, according to hospitality industry officials.

In addition to Ayodhya, other nearby cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, and Gorakhpur are anticipated to see an increase in demand. According to Rajeev Kale, President and Country Head at Thomas Cook (India), the excitement surrounding the temple’s inauguration has significantly increased temple tourism across a range of consumer segments.

“Only 11 days are left for Ram Lalla’s ‘pran pratishtha’ in Ayodhya. I am fortunate to witness the auspicious occasion. God has asked me to represent the people of India during the ceremony. Keeping in mind, I am beginning an 11-day special ritual from today.

Significance of PM Modi’s 11-day Anushthan!

According to Hindu shastras, ‘pran pratishtha’ of a deity’s idol is a detailed ritual. There are specific rules laid down which need to be followed before the ceremony.

Prime Minister Modi has decided to rigorously follow all the rituals despite hectic schedule and responsibilities. As a result, he has embarked on a 11-day anushthan.

In Hindu scriptures, there are specific instructions laid down for the fast ahead of the consecration. As part of his daily routine, the prime minister follows rituals like Brahma Muhurat Jagran, prayers and a simple diet.

The prime minister will preside over the consecration ceremony of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Preparations are in the last stages for the event as several VVIP guests from India and abroad have received invitations for the ceremony.

The Vedic rituals will begin on January 16, a week before the main ceremony. Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, will perform the main ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22.

A 1008 Hundi Mahayagya will also be organised, in which thousands of devotees will be fed. Several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya to accommodate thousands of devotees.

According to the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust, arrangements will be made for 10,000-15,000 people. Local authorities are also gearing up for the anticipated surge in visitors around the grand ceremony and are in the process of implementing enhanced security measures and making logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees.

Congress ‘declines’ invitation to Lord Ram Lalla ‘Pran Pratistha’, calls it an “RSS, BJP event”

BJP and RSS, Congress has turned down the invitation for the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony
of Lord Ram Lalla, scheduled later this month in Ayodhya.

The senior Congress leaders–Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Adhir Ranjan
Chowdhury–have ‘declined! the invitation for the grand event in Ayodhya, the party’s
general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a statement.

“Last month, the Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha

received an invitation to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Ram Mandir at

the RSS/BIP have long made a political project of the temple in Ayodhya. The
