Days after French President Emmanuel Macron’s high-profile visit to India, Chinese President Xi Jinping has announced to boost China-France ties. Jinping has said, “China and France should jointly open up a path of peace, security, prosperity, and progress for human development”. On the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, Chinese President Xi offered to “break new ground” to give a fillip to bilateral ties between the two countries.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said they have offered to step up French imports to the country. We will continue to unleash consumer and investment market demand, and continue to expand the import of high-quality products and services from France,” Wang Yi said.

The Chinese foreign minister hoped that France too would provide Chinese companies with a fair, just, and predictable business environment. China prioritises ties with France as Macron is pushing Europe to become a third bloc, a balancing force between the US and China.

Last week only French President Emmanuel Macron was invited as the chief guest at India’s 75th Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi on January 26.

During Macron’s high-profile visit to India, the two countries unveiled an ambitious defence roadmap besides intensifying cooperation in the strategic Indian Ocean and the Indo-Pacific region.

The intensification of India-France cooperation in the Indian Ocean concerns China as it tries to make forays in India’s backyard.

The US, India, and several other world powers have been discussing the need to ensure a free, open, and thriving Indo-Pacific in the backdrop of China’s rising military manoeuvring in the resource-rich region.

After three months of tasks, fights, switching allegiances, and buckets of drama, Bigg Boss 17 has finally seen one winner. A little after midnight on Monday, host Salman Khan announced the winner in the presence of the top two finalists – Abhishek Kumar and Munawar Faruqui. In the end, stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui was crowned the winner, beating Abhishek in a closely-fought final.

Both Abhishek and Munawar had been strong contenders for the title right from the beginning with Abhishek banking on his immense popularity from television while Munawar brought with himself the experience of triumphing at a similar captivity-based reality show – Lock Upp, which he won in 2022. Before exiting the Bigg Boss house, both Munawar nd Abhishek broke down in tears as they walked across the tunnel together.

Munawar Faruqui is a popular-yet-controversial stand-up comedian. He began his career as a comedian in 2020 with a video on his YouTube channel and graduated to stand-up comedy later that year. In January 2021, a stand-up show of his from Indore saw controversy after a son of BJP MLA accused him of inciting hatred and making malicious jokes about Hindu deities. Munawar was arrested under India’s hate speech laws and spent 37 days in jail before his release the following month. His arrest led to criticism and protests.

Munawar began his reality show journey with Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp season 1 in February 2022. Munawar ended up winning the show, further strengthening his celebrity. Munawar entered the Bigg Boss house hoping to emulate his Lock Upp success in this show as well.

Abhishek Kumar is a popular TV actor best known for playing Amrik in Udaariyaan. The show began airing on Colors in 2021 and turned Abhishek into an overnight star. The actor also made a hit on-screen jodi with Isha Malviya. The two later began to date but had a bitter break-up. He began his journey as a social media influencer, making videos on Tik Tok. But after the platform was banned in India, he shifted to making YouTube videos. Eventually, he turned to acting, finding fame with Udaariyaan.

Abhishek had initially caused friction in the house initially as his ex Isha was in the house. Their fights often made headlines. Things heated up further as Isha’s boyfriend Samarth Jurel also entered the house, leading to a physical fight between Abhishek and Samarth, following which Abhishek was briefly eliminated too but later brought back.

The other three finalists in the Bigg Boss 17 grand finale were Ankita Lokhande, Mannara Chopra, and Abhishek Mashettey.

JEE Mains 2024 Exam Live: Follow the blog for latest updates on NTA JEE Paper 1 exam!

JEE Mains 2024 Exam Live: National Testing Agency, NTA have started JEE Mains Paper 1 examination for B.E/B.Tech on January 27, 2024. The Joint Entrance Examination Session 1 for B.E/B.Tech papers will be conducted on January 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2024.

The examination will be conducted in two shifts- a first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm at various exam centres across the country.

The candidates scheduled to appear for Paper 1 are required to download their Admit Card of JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 1 (January 2024) (using their Application No. and Date of Birth) for Paper 1 from the website. JEE Main 2024 Session 1 exam: Exam day guidelines

1.Candidates appearing for the examination will have to report to the exam centre 2 hours before the commencement of the exam.

2.Candidates should take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall. A seat indicating Roll Number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates should find and sit in their allocated seats only.

3.The candidate must show, on-demand, the Admit Card downloaded/printed from the NTA website for admission in the examination room/hall.

4.The candidate should ensure that the Question Paper available on the computer is as per his/her opted subject indicated in the Admit Card.

5.Candidates can approach the Centre Superintendent/Invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid emergency, or any other information during the course of the examination.

1. Print copy of admit card along with self declaration downloaded from NTA website duly filled in.

2. One passport size photograph for pasting on the specific space in the Attendance Sheet at Centre during the examination.

3. Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid, and non-expired) – School Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.

4. PwD certificate issued by the authorized medical officer, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category

5. Transparent ball point pen.

Shruti Shiva is a YouTuber who earns more than her husband, who is an IAS officer in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut. Shruti has over 276k subscribers on YouTube and over 67k followers on social media platform Instagram. 

She began her journey as a YouTuber just three years ago and has made a mark in such a short period. Shruti Shiva hails from Kotdwar district of Uttarakhand. She did her master’s from a university in America’s south Florida. 

Shruti Shiva was still in America when she began blogging. Her elder sister encouraged Shruti to opt for video blogging as a career and now she earns more than her IAS officer husband, she told Aaj Tak. 

Shruti Shiva met her husband IAS officer Abhishek Pandey when she was a dental student and the IAS officer was a student at IIT Roorkee, she told Aaj Tak. Abhishek Pandey was anchoring one of the IIT festivals which Shruti went to attend. Impressed by Abhishek Pandey’s anchoring, Shruti complimented him. Sometime later, the IAS officer approached her and they fell in love. 

After completing graduation, Abhishek Pandey secured a job at Tata Steel and simultaneously started her preparations for the IAS exam and Shruti went to America for higher studies. The two got married in 2020.

I was wrong. How could Sania Mirza an intelligent girl had married such a bad boy! I think Shoaib Malik will divorce Sana Javed someday & marry X. Then he will divorce X and marry Y. Then he will divorce Y and marry Z. If he believes in Islam, he does not even need to divorce, he can have 4 wives at the same time,” the author, a staunch critic of Islam, wrote on X.

On Saturday, Shoaib Malik announced that he married Pakiatn’s popular actor Sana Javed in Karachi triggering speculations over whether he divorced Sania Mirza. Sania’s family confirmed that following Islam’s Khula, Sania initiated unilateral divorce proceedings.

Sania’s sister Anam Mirza on Sunday confirmed that Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik have been legally divorced for some months. “Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead!” Anam posted on Instagram.

“At this sensitive period of her life, we would like to request all fans and well-wishers to refrain from indulging in any speculation and to respect her need for privacy,” the statement said.

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik got married in 2010 and have a five-year-old son Izaan who lives with Sania Mirza in Hyderabad. For days, there were speculations over Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik’s troubled marital relationship.

The Pakistan Daily reported that none of Shoaib Malik’s family members attended the wedding of Sana and Shoaib. Shoaib’s sisters have expressed concerns over his divorce with Sania Mirza and said Sania was tired of Shoaib Malik’s extramarital affairs, the news outlet reported.

With just one days left for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust released breathtaking images of the newly built temple!

The Ram temple inauguration ceremony is scheduled for January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various dignitaries in attendance. The Lord Ram idol was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple on Thursday during the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. During the ritual, the first image of the idol was revealed, concealed by a veil.

Sculpted by Karnataka-based Arun Yogiraj, the ‘Ram Lalla’ idol is 1.5 tonnes in weight and 51 inches tall. In the picture, Lord Ram is seen as a five-year-old boy standing on a lotus formed of the same stone.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals will be conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while a group of priests under the direction of Lakshmikant Dixit will monitor the proceedings. Several famous people and celebrities have also received invitations.

A multi-layer security cover is in place in Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple, with 10,000 CCTV cameras and drones equipped with artificial intelligence keeping an eye on the movement of people and police personnel in plain clothes deployed at the venue.

VIPs to be served ‘mahaprasad’

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has got ‘mahaprasad’ prepared for the VIPs coming to attend the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday. It has been prepared with pure ghee, five types of dry fruits, sugar, gram flour (‘besan’).

No physical copy of Result-cum-Marks Statement shall be issued to the Candidates”, read the official notification.
