The UCL campaign for this season has come to a close, and what an exciting journey it has been! It has been an emotional roller coaster for me as a Man City supporter, with many highs and lows. There are now just four teams left, and many are surprised that none of them are from England.
Fantasy UCL managers who supported English clubs in the quarterfinals will surely be confused by this unexpected change of events. Being one of those, I need a redesign this match and am knee-deep in deadwood. Below, I’ve outlined my ideas for you. UCL 2024: To begin the German great summer of football, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will compete for glory in the UEFA Champions League.
Starting Point
UCL draw: This is how my team appeared after the quarterfinals:
I’m in a difficult situation even just by looking at the players that were eliminated! My team is looking a little thin with just Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., Kane, and my bench left in the competition. “Just take a few hits with transfers and you’ll be okay,” you may be thinking to yourself. Arvind Kejriwal news: Tihar jail administration allows wife Sunita to meet Delhi Chief Minister.
Although it is a possibility, I have a secret weapon in my arsenal: the wildcard chip. That’s correct, people! I’m throwing caution to the wind and completely revamping my team this coming week.
Present Draft
Following twelve joyous unrestricted transactions, this is my current lineup: Mbappe, Vinicius, and Kane at the front of the line. Bellingham, Sabitzer, Vitinha, and Musiala in the midfield. I have Rudiger, Maatsen, Hakimi, and Donnaruma in defense.
I’m quite happy with this diverse team overall. There’s a lot of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, PSG, and Dortmund represented, so I know I won’t be left hanging come championship time. Since it’s a wildcard team with limitless free transfers, I’ll probably continue to make little changes in response to reports on injuries. Since Leroy Sané would be a good fit, I’ll be watching Thomas Tuchel’s press conference. Nothing Phone 2a launched In India: Check, Price, Feature, Offer Here.
The adaptability of captaincy is an additional benefit. On Tuesday, Harry Kane will probably be given the armband; however, on Wednesday, if he falters, I can move to Kylian Mbappé.
Honestly, I’m struggling to find weaknesses in this squad. It’s packed with explosive players who can rack up points, and even the bench is stocked with quality names.
But I’m interested to hear what you think. Please rate my team!

Names to consider for your semifinal fantasy squad
There are just two stops left on the route to Wembley, and the competition is very strong. Will Real Madrid win a record-breaking fifteenth European championship? Will there ever be a bright spot for Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s 13-year investment in Parisians? Or, precisely ten years hence, may we witness an all-German championship match? These are the athletes who will write the next chapter in history!
UCL Keepers
Bayern vs. Real Madrid is the most frequent fixture in the history of the UEFA Champions League. I would levitate in the direction of Madrid’s defense in this tie. Their matches with City demonstrated the opposite, but their overall style of play is to remain low and absorb pressure, which inevitably leads to their opponents giving up relatively few opportunities. This season’s poor performance by Bayern would only increase Lunin’s save percentage.
Andriy Lunin: Bayern vs.
Gregor Kobel: Given that neither club’s defense is completely impenetrable, I do not see either team maintaining or even attempting to maintain a clean sheet in this match. Kobel has an advantage over his Parisian opponent in that he is playing the opening game at home with the support of the formidable Yellow Wall and is less prone to mistakes. By a wide margin of ten points, Kobel leads all goalkeepers in scoring, with eight of those points coming from saves. Additionally, he costs 1 million less than Donnarumma, so you can pay for it all at once.
Defenders
Mats Hummels and Ian Maatsen
It should be noted that although both Germans have been recovering from recent injuries, they are anticipated to start on Wednesday unless one of them gets worse during warm-up.
Hummels, 35, is undoubtedly putting up a strong fight to start for the German National Team again at the Euros this year after being removed from the team in 2021 for a “squad refresh.” He has been in incredible form, particularly in the Champions League, consistently demonstrating his skill and knowledge while leading Dortmund out of the Group of Death and into the semifinals. Dortmund’s chances of moving forward will depend heavily on his ability to recover balls and pose an aerial danger to the opposition as well as inside his box.
The replacement for former Dortmund fullback Hakimi is Maatsen, the team’s very own flying fullback. The Chelsea loanee’s recent crucial strike against Atletico Madrid demonstrated his offensive prowess. In the four knockout games thus far, he has also made 27 ball recoveries, demonstrating his defensive durability and earning fantasy points in the process.
Raphael Guerreiro
The former Dortmund fullback is currently playing for rival Bayern in the Bundesliga (and possibly the UCL?) after finally finding his best gear. In recent games, the technically skilled Portuguese international—typically used at fullback—has been used farther up the field, acting as an offensive defender—a dream come true for fantasy managers. In his last three UCL games, he has contributed two assists, one of which was crucial in eliminating Arsenal.
Achraf Hakimi
Why does Dortmund have so good wing-backs? For the third time this season, a former Black and Yellow is now a prominent player for Paris, taking on his old employers. He has only scored one goal in the UCL this season against the Germans, and he has only provided one assist in Europe, which came against Barcelona the other night when he was involved in several offensive situations. The defense has recorded 12 G+A in all of the games that they have played, which is attacker-like stats. In addition, he has 52 ball recoveries, which ensures that he will score a lot of points no matter what happens.
Lucas Vazquez
In the Champions League, which is essentially their playground right now, Madrid is all about grinding out the wins. Due to his suspension, veteran Dani Carvajal will likely be replaced by Lucas Vazquez, who in just 282 minutes of play has 13 balls retrieved, two clean sheets, and an assist. Domestically, he performs at a similar ratio (8 G+A in less than 1500 minutes played).
Midfielders
Vitinha
Set aside rivalries and what appears to be oppression, the Portuguese midfielder is thriving in the park thanks to his newfound independence. In the two legs of the QF match against Barcelona, he scored twice.
Sakshi MS Dhoni-starring post during CSK vs SRH: ‘Baby is on the way. Please finish the game…’
Jamal Musiala
Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry are both expected to play, although they are competing in races to be fit for the match. Therefore, don’t sell either of them if you own one. But Musiala is a tempting choice if you don’t. Messi-ala’s ball handling and dribbling in confined areas would probably be a major asset to Bayern’s offense against Real Madrid’s low block. He contributes significantly to interceptions and defense, thus his floor fantasy returns would undoubtedly be higher than a 2.
Marcel Sabitzer
The Leipzig midfielder, who was once recognized for his long-range prowess, appears to be returning to peak form at a pivotal juncture for his new team. With 15 goals and assists so far this season, the aggressive Austrian is very active in attacking link-up play and faces a porous PSG defense. With his goal and two assists against Atletico, he sealed the stalemate and their semifinal berth. He has also been a game-changer.
Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde
Bellingham got off to a scorching start to the season, receiving early nominations for this year’s Balon D’Or champion. Due to his injury absence and domestic punishment, his total effect has not changed, but his name in the goals has. But in the big games, the best players step up, and Bellingham will be up against a familiar opponent in Bayern.
Fede Valverde, who is becoming well-known for his absurdly long-distance screamers, is another clutch player. Any second balls that counterattackers are likely to ward off will probably end up in his zone of attack. At 13% ownership, he is practically a differential. He contributes fairly to defense as well; he has 37 ball recoveries. For an offensive midfielder, not terrible at all!
Forwards
Kylian Mbappe
With 43 goals in 44 games, the mercurial Mbappe leads the overall European scoring statistics. With eight goals, he also leads the UCL Golden Boot race. Dortmund’s strength is not counterattacking; instead, they are fortunate to excel in the fast-moving forward’s specialty.
Harry Kane
With one more chance to break through, the English striker has only the Champions League left. In an otherwise poor season, it’s also Thomas Tuchel’s final opportunity to avoid blushing. With 42 goals overall, including seven in the UCL, Kane is hot on Mbappe’s tail despite his lack of experience in these stages of the top European football league.
Vinicius Jr
Vini Jr., another speedster who has been developing into a much more capable attacker, has already scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists this season. Once more, Vini benefits from Bayern’s possession-based push because he can quickly build up lethal counterattacks.
